Abstract: Protecting the transformers is very essential in electrical power system distribution. Only when the transformers are active, power distribution is possible. We would like to protect the transformers from various hazards like overload, fire, low voltage or high voltage. There are much parameters are available in transformers apart from above but the above said are most important than any. We can use simple microcontroller or advanced embedded microcontroller. When we use advanced embedded controller, we can avoid lot of electronic components and cost could be reduced. We would like to utilize fir sensors, PTs, CTS, signal conditioners, embedded/microcontroller display system for effective transformer protection.
