PREFACE
As per the syllabus of S.Y.B.B.A. prescribe by Saurashtra university in Bachelor of business administration course industrial training must be conducted for all the student of S.Y.B.B.A. at least for 10 days. Saurashtra University has incorporated industrial visited in BBA course which provides a golden opportunity to the students to understand FELTNEED of an industrial establishment. I am a student of this course got valuable opportunity to gain the practical knowledge of the theories which help me a lot to develop and to become adroit. In my case I underwent training at KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES. The topic covered by me is general information personnel management, marketing management, production management.

Small scale Small scale industries are mainly labour intensive industries while large scale industries are capital intensive industries. In case of KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. it is a medium scale industry because its initial investment is more than the limit of small scale industry.

Theoretically speaking a part of industry is a place where main money and machinery are brought together for manufacturing the product thus it involves the basic problems of the place where the plan t to be located.

Production plays a very important role in all the activities of company management. This is the first step of the company management. All the business activities revolve around the production process. PLANT LOCATION

Location means the place at which an industry is situated. Generally every entrepreneur would like to locate his factory in such an area when all basic infrastructure facility can be available easily. For location to be an ideal one it has to have little basic availability like easy procurement at raw material labour transportation newness to market etc.

PLANT LAYOUT

Layout problem is fundament ion to every type of organisation enterprise and are experienced in all kinds of understandings.

Plant layout is the overall arrangement of the production process store room, tool room; material handling equipment and sub stores employees service and all other accessories required for facility the production in the factory. The layout of the manufacturing system can be classified into 2 main categories namely 1 PROCESS OR FUCTIONAL LAYOUT In this layout more emphasis is given to specialisation or functional homogeneity or varios components of the system all operation of similar nature is grouped together in the same department or part of the factory. 2LINE OR PRODUCT LAYOUTS Here the position of particular machine equipment is determined at some definite stage or place where the machine required performing some operation designed to manufacturing the product this layout can be in the shape of line.

However the big the organisation may be but its employees are its real strength employees are one of t he important resources of any organisation. The no. Of employees matter a lot in the performance of the organization. The number of employees should be proportionate to the size of the organisation any increase or decrease in the number of employees would cause a problem in the functioning of the organisation. In KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. the number of the employees is about 70 employees in all out of this there are number of labours.

MATERIAL HANDING SYSTEM

Material handling is the art and the science involving the movement packing and storing of substance in any form. Material handing can be defined as controlling the amount location movement and timing of the various commodities used in and produced by the industrial enterprise. It should be noted that material handing is the distinct activity falling within the jurisdiction of production department. it is not the part of production control but it is closely associated with the function of some extent the scheduling of the production department. In KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. there is a systematic process of handling different kinds of materials. The company also uses manual ways to handle the materials the materials which are light in weight and which has very possibility of damage are transported manually.

STORE KEEPING

The efficiency of the management operation depends largely on the efficient functioning of the receiving and stores operation receiving and storing are the services functions and involve much of the proper work. Precaution is taken at all stages to protect materials and product from damage during handling storage to ensure this handling equipments are checked so that they will not damage the product.

PRODUCTION PROCESS AND QUALITY CONTROL

Production planning is a managerial function which plans directs & controls a material flow system in the plant to achieve the largest targets set by marketing with the most economy and efficiency. Production planning involves the co -ordination and integration of the factors of production and production facilities to produce a product at an optimum efficiency. Production control is the function of directing & regulating the orderly movement of goods through the entire production cycle from the requisitioning of raw material to the delivery of finished product to meet the objective of. PLANTS MAINTANANCE

Maintains is very essential part of the production management as entire scenario of the production is depended on the machines and plant one has to make sure that they are well main-trained. The machine installed in the unit utili zes all the raw material and process them to produce the final product but when they are not well maintained they directly affect the quality of the product. Company has hired some technicians to look after the plant and various vital components of the same.

BORROWING Company has got some finance from the sources of borrowing from the relative directors of the company and other person and company yearly pay interest to them.

MANAGEMENT OF WORKING CAPITAL

Personnel management is the management of the people at work. Personnel management is a function of the general management with the objective of ensuring that every employee makes his fullest contribution to the achievement of the objective of business. Human resources is the greatest assets of any business enterprises. The workers are the heart of the organisation. It is the manpower that operates the machines process the raw material into a finished product and makes it possible to sales in the market. RECRUITMENT
The recruitment process started with identification of vacancies to be filled up it is basically concerned with the identification of sources from where the personnel can be employed and motivating them to offer for the employment. According to EDWARD FLIPPO recruitment is both positive and negative activity. It is process of searching for prospective employees, stimulating and encouraging them to apply for job in an organisation. There are mainly two types of sources to do the recruitment  INTERNAL SOURCES  EXTERNAL SOURCES

IN KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. recruitment is done through internal sources such as when any vacancies, occur, existing, employees are given first preference they are promoted or transferred on the basis of merit seniorities of performances.

SELECTION

The object of manpower selection is to as certain clearly the type of person rallied and to secure an appropriate candidate for filling that position it is also concerned with security relevant information about an applicant.

INDUCTION
Induction is a technique by which a new employee is rehabilitated into enhanced surrounding and introduced to the practiced, policies and the objective of the organisation. In other words it is a welcoming process. The idea is to welcome a new comer make him\her fell at home and generate a feeling of belongingness, however its small but is meaningful and has significance as a part of total organisation.  Process of Induction. Firstly, information is given to newly appointed person to whom he has to given a report and the place of report. Secondly, the respective manager welcomes the employees.

Thirdly, it gives overall information about the department in which he is designated.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Training starts after the recruitment of the employees. Training is the process though which employees are made capable of doing the job prescribed to them. According to FLIPPO, training is the act of increasing the knowledge and skills of the employees for doing a particular job. Development is concerned with the growth of an employees in all respects. It is the process by which manager and executives acquire not only skill but also capabilities for future managerial tasks.

KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. is a medium scale industry therefore there is no separate department for training. It select mostly trained personnel so there is no need of training.

In case of untrained personnel training is provided during the job and supervisor becomes the trainer.

JOB ANALYSIS
Job analysis involves formal study of jobs. It attempts to provide information on both the requirement of a job in terms of time for completion necessary performance standard on the one hand and also the behaviour knowledge, skills and attitudes needed amo ng the personnel to meet those job requirements on others. It is a written recorded of the duties responsibilities and requirement of a particular job. It is a statement describing the job in such terms as its title, location, duties, working condition and hazards. It is a standard of a function in that it defines the appropriate and authorized contents of the job.

PROMOTION & TRANFER

A promotion may be defined as an upwards movement of an employees in an organisation to another job which commands better pay, better status and higher opportunist and responsibility better working condition hours of work and facilities etc. Transfer is the movement of an employee from one job to another without involving any substantial change in his duties responsibilities requirement skill status and compensation.

In KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. there is less chance of assistant when any vacancy occurs they fill up the vacancy from within the organisation according to the merit, seniority of the persons.

TRADE UNION

Trade union is any combination of person whether temporary or permanent primarily for the purpose of regulation the relation between workers and employers or between workers and workers and for imposing restrictive condition on the conduct of any trade or business and includes the federation of two or more trade union. In KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. there is no trade union as the need for it is not felt any grievance on the part of the employees is handled by the management effectively and immediately. So all the workers are

satisfied with the management and there is no need for them to create a trade union.

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL SYSTEM

Appraisal is the evaluation of worth quality or merit. In this organisation context performance is a systematic evolution of performance by supervisors or other families with their performance. Performance appraisal is also describe as merit rating in which one individual is ranked better or worse in comparison to other. The basic purpose in their merit rating is to ascertain an employees eligibility for performance, training and development salary increase transfers discharge ting.

The objectives of performance appraisal are as follows  To identify areas for further training needs.  To help determine promotion and transfer.  To reduce grievances.

EMPLOYEES BENIFITS & SERVICES


Management is concerned with attract in and keeping employees. Whose performance meets at least minimum level of acceptability? The provision of BENIFITS & SERVICES. And are important in maintain the employees and reducing of keeping turnovers and absenteeism low. FUTURE PLANS

As I got information from the general manager those KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. Plan to maximise their sales as much as possible by more hard work.  Future plans.  To get more and cheaper production on international level.  To launch modern bath fitting products.

 The company feels this products will have great demand in national &international market and are putting in their best efforts to make the product successful.

After completing my project on KRISHNA COCK INDUSTRIES PVT.LTD. I want to give following suggestion to the company.  They should give advertisement in different media so more people can know about their product.  They must appoint some professional & expert to solve the problems relation to production finance & marketing .  The company should try to expand the market to international level.
