Guards: Make 1, 2, or 3 call indicating how many defenders are on the L.O.S. on his side of the Center (A
Gap Out). Uncovered Lineman has double read from man-on to backside #3.

We will use double reads also.
FB: Block Playside. Open, cross-over, stay square as you attack the course at the outside hip of the frontside Tackle.
FB will be aware if the guard is covered or uncovered.
If the Guard is uncovered, FB (1 Call) Block #3 Defender
If the Guard is covered, FB has double read (Look to block ILB 1st, then outside to #3 defender)

If you want Max protection: Motion to the backside with one of your wide outs or line up and block.
If choosing this option, no double read on the backside.

QB should make a call when max protection would be needed.


Spread Formation vs. Cover 2
Bubble Right

QB takes one step back and throws.


Snap ball on first sound.
Receivers line up with outside foot back
Inside Slot Receiver lines up with outside foot back. Lean back & cross-over to gain width.
FB takes course 6 yards outside end blocks ILB.

Bubble Crack

FB motions and blocks the corner or #1 defender.


Split End to the right splits to a point where he can block #2 defender.
Outside Slot receiver blocks #3 defender.
Bubble (out of twins)

or

Right Split End blocks most dangerous man (#1 or #2 defender by alignment).
FB takes course 6 yards outside end & blocks ILB.
Slot or Flanker lines up with outside foot back. Lean back & cross-over to gain width.
QB takes one step back and throws.

Bubble Right (out of Pro left Queen)

or

Right Split End blocks most dangerous man (#1 or #2 defender by alignment).
FB takes course 6 yards outside end & blocks ILB.
Flanker runs zoom motion right.
QB takes one step back and throws.
All Go (out of 4 wide)

Split Ends run up the field numbers.


Slots run up the hash marks.
QB read the safties. When throwing to the split end, throw to the outside shoulder
and keep the ball in bounds.

Dig (out of 4 wide)

Anyone of the 4 wide can run the dig or square in route.


QB throw to open window. Possible that throw could be made on the break.
#4 receiver throttles down in the open area.
All Go FB Shake

FB reads the ILB. Shakes right, left, or up field.

Shake: Run to 6 yards, back to 4 yards on the loop, and the back up to 6 as your proceed
upfiel.

QB: If ILB is on a blitz, hit the FB as soon as he clears the L.O.S.


Smash Seam

Split end or #1 runs a 5 yard hook.


#2 runs 12 - 15 yard seam & up.
#3 runs through the saftey & establish eye contact with the saftey.
QB reads the corner. If the corner plays the smash route or #1 receiver, throw to #2.
If the corner plays soft, hit the smash route or #1.

This can be run with 4 wide. If chosen, the backside receivers can run go routes
or mirror the playside routes.

Smash 7 Route

Can also be run from 4 wide.
#2 runs upfield 10-12 yards, push hard to the post 3 steps, snap your head back out, &
accellerate to the corner.
#3 runs through the saftey & establish eye contact with the saftey.
Smash 7 Route (using Zoom Motion)

QB reads the corner. Versus 5 under man coverage, if you throw to the backside,
look for the left split end on a dig over the middle.
Versus 5 under zone, read the corner. If you throw to the backside, read inside receiver
to the outside receiver on the switch routes.
Right split end versus 5 under man: Roll back inside.
Right slot versus man: Snap the route flat at 13 yards.
Left split end versus 5 under zone: Run at the saftey and read the saftey. Versus man, run
a 15 yard dig or square in.
TB versus zone, motions left and runs upfield outside the split end. Versus man, run dig at
13 to 15 yards.
7 Route

Right Slot runs 5 yards out & up the field to 14 and back to 12.
Right split end stems in and up the field 12 yards, take 3 steps to the post,
and roll it back to the outside.
Left side of formation can run go routes or mirror the right side.

Shake 7 Route

Right Split end runs a quick out to 6 yards, back to 4 yards, & up to 6 yards.
#2 runs a 7 route
#3 runs through the saftey and establishes eye contact.
QB reads the corner. If the corner plays #1, throw to #2. If he plays soft and drops deep, hit #1.
Double Cross

Left slot runs 6 yards out and up.


Left Split end runs 10 yard square in or dig.
Right Slot versus zone: Drag & curl up when open. Versus man: Continue across.
QB reads ILB. Throw to either the dig or the drag.

Angle

18-22 yards

All Go routes except left slot.


Left slot angles out to 10 yards, and breaks inside at 18-22 yards.
QB should look for slot in the open window.
7 Route Smash Y Curl

Left TB runs a 5 yard arrow route in the flat.


Left split end runs a 7 route or post corner.
TE or (Y) curls over the center at 12 yards and back to 10.
QB reads left corner.

Double Slant or Bend

8-10 yards
4-6 yards

Inside receivers work their way inside the LB's.


All receivers run 3 step slant and choke down in the open area.
Versus cover 2 man: You must win and flatten slants.
Wide outs are 8-10 yards from the slots.
Slots are 4-6 yards from the tackles.
QB has a 3 step read.

You can run this out of Twins and motion the TB to the TE side and run double slants.
This can force the defense to make mistakes and cause confusion.
Combo

Right side is good versus 3 deep.


Left side is good versus 2 deep.
This play is good versus 2 or 3 deep. QB reads the defense.
QB throw to open window. May have to throw to second window.

Sluggo

8-10 yards
4-6 yards

This is good versus 3 deep if the corners are jumping the slants.
Wideouts run a slant or bend and up.
Slots run a bend.
QB 3 step drop, pump fake (or twist shoulders), retreat 2 more steps, & throw.
Bunch Plays
Alignment: Inside Receiver (#3) lines up 4 yards outside the Tackle.
The End (#2) is one yard from #3.
#1 is one yard outside #2.
All bunch plays are 5 step drops.

Bubble

QB takes one step back and throws.


FB takes course 6 yards outside the end and blocks the ILB.
#3 lines up with outside foot back, leans back & crosses over to gain width.
Double Shake Sprint

QB srints out to the right & looks for #3 first.


The line is aggressive on the front side and cups on the backside.
#3 runs a 5 yard arrow.
RB cross over with first step (good technique for hooking the end).
#1 & #2 are running shake routes

Shake Flood

Excellent Play!!!
#3 runs a 3-5 yard arrow.
#2 runs a Flag
#1 runs a 6 yard shake (6 to 4 to 6)
QB & shake receiver read the OLB.
Split End Clear Out

5 yards

QB & #3 read the OLB.


#3 runs a 7 yard read curl. Can break in or out.

Bunch Plays can also be run from Zoom Motion


Drag Shake

5 yards

Zoom Motion left Flanker to one yard outside the end and run a 6 yard shake.
#1 runs a 5 yard drag & delays release until motion flanker clears underneath.
2 Route (from motion to Bunch)

7 yards

3 yards

#2 aligns one yard from the slot.


#1 motions to a point one yard from #2, delays & allows #3 to clear.

Drag Shake Switch

3-5 yards

#1 motion to a point one yard outside #2, and delay to allow #2 to clear, then run
3-5 yard drag. Versus Zone, find an open area and face the QB. Versus man,
accellerate across the field.
#2 runs a 6 yard shake route.
