Both of us belong to ordinary middle class families from Kolkata. My father worked in a Bank and mother was a homemaker & I was the youngest of two brothers and one sister. After nishing my school, I did my Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. After that, like most other people, I started my career by nding a good job. I used to work in a Govt. Dept where I worked for 18 long years. Although I worked there as a Class I Ocer, that didnt help me to lead a life above mediocrity. Sujata also had a very humble background. Her father worked in Central Govt. Dept, mother was a homemaker; and she was the only child of her parents. After nishing school, she did her Bachelors in Science from Kolkata University. After that, her parents wanted to see her married and they found me as their son-in-law. Ours is a arranged marriage, not a love marriage, but we are very happily married for last 22 years. This wonderful opportunity had, however, played a vital role behind that. Both of us had lot of dreams but the only vehicle that we had in our hands was my, so called, GOOD JOB. Soon we realised that through my job, all the dreams will remain as dreams only for the rest of our lives, just like what had happened in the lives of the other people known to us. And slowly we also started to lead a Life Of Compromise(LOC). Because, at that point of time, we had no idea about the other forms of LOC, viz., Life Of Choice / Lots of Cash / Liquid Organic Cleaner. We came to know about this wonderful opportunity from our cousins whom we had always loved, respected and trusted. They had not only just introduced us in the business but also helped, guided and mentored us like
parents from day1. We are really blessed to have this wonderful business and the awesome uplines in our lives. We are also blessed to have an incredible team full of leaders for which were ever-indebted to God. Through this business, our lives have totally changed today. Over and above the role of a homemaker, Sujata had also become a proud business lady, leading her team across the country and also in other countries. For the last 12 years, I dont have to report to any boss (other than Sujata), leading a tension-free, fullling life & spending quality time with our families. Were blessed with two beautiful kids. Our son, Subhojit who made all of us so proud by becoming the All India Topper in ISC Exam in 99, securing All Time Highest Marks, is now doing his Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Our daughter, Suchismita is also doing equally good in her studies and now in her 11th standard. But the biggest accomplishment through this business is that today, we are much better human beings, being able to touch and create an impact in the lives of so many people. 25 years back,I started my career as a theatre actor in IPTA Meerut, and from the past 22 years I am into the bollywood lm industry as an actor. At that very time I was going through a tough time as I could not even satisfy the basic needs of the family from my earnings. Amendments to the BSM Policy
E ective September 1, 2011 the following changes will apply to the current Business Support Material Policy
Definition of Team Meetings

Generally organized by Platinum and above and attended by their dedicated LOS. This will also include meeting called by Diamond for his downline Platinum groups provided downline Platinum does not hold an independent separate meeting in the same month. In the event a Diamond is conducting the meeting for downline Platinum group, it must be ensured that no ABO is required to travel for more than 100 kms. Attendance is not over 500 people. Duration generally is two hours to ve hours.
Definition of Major Functions

Major functions would also include Family Reunion Major Functions, Conferences, FED / Conventions / Family Reunion etc.
Characteristics

The 13th anniversary celebrations of Amway India were celebrated across India with variety of entertainment activities being organized by Amway Opportunity Foundation. It was a day to remember, as AOF could bring smiles on the faces of more than 9000 innocent children at 60 Sunrise partners of India. AOF attempted to make this day, 5th May, a special one for all the children by organizing picnics, magic & movie shows, snacks, gifts and much more. Amway distributors of India joined these celebrations and thoroughly enjoyed them. Helen Keller taught the entire world to respect the differently abled by setting a personal example of courage, determination and conviction despite her multiple disabilities. AOF along with its 14 National Project For Blind partners across India, working for the visually challenged, celebrated the 131st birth anniversary of Helen Kellers on 27th June. It was a special day for all visually challenged students who got engaged in variety of interactive programs like debates, reading, singing etc. Amway West HR team conducted communications skills & personality development workshops for visually challenged students of AOF supported computer centres at Mumbai, Pune & Ahmedabad. AOF inaugurated its 14th computer centre for visually challenged students at Guwahati Blind School, Guwahati. To encourage greater participation in competitive sports and activities by the visually challenged, Amway Opportunity Foundation and its partner, Devnar Foundation for the Blind, organized a fiveday chess tournament in Hyderabad. Approximately 100 visually challenged players from across India participated in the 34th National Chess Championship. All participants were awarded with certificates, and winners received special recognition and prizes. Winners will also advance to international competitions representing India. But AOF and its Sunrise partner, Sewa Mandir in Indore facilitated our visually challenged students pursuing for higher studies by setting up a new Audio Recording Studio. The Talking Book Library is well equipped with four computers with special recording software kept in a completely sound proof cabins. Interested Volunteers can record special curriculums for visually challenged students such as political science, history, law, sociology, and Hindu literature, as well as study materials for competitive exams. To spread awareness about environment protection, AOF North team celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June in Lucknow, Dehradun, Gorakhpur & Varanasi. Saplings were planted at each location and ironically, north India, in the grip of a dry spell, could do with more plantation drives.
