Ambidextrous Riser

This Riser is the only ambidextrous Riser to be considered in this project, but is being rejected due to the added size the Riser would have to be to accommodate the aperture needed for a centre fire or shoot through Riser. There are also issues with the Risers ability to withstand the force needed to draw the string on the heavier poundage limbs. To overcome this, the Riser would have to be thicker at the aperture thus increasing the Risers weight. The riser shape also has the disadvantage of too much vibration when an arrow is fired which would mean the addition of a stabilising and dampening system would increase the overall weight and make the Riser too heavy. There are other points to consider when rejecting this Riser, such as the lack of a mount for a Riser dampener which could reduce the vibration but would mean more machining which in turn translates into more cost. With cost being one of the major factors in the development of the Riser it is no longer a cost effective option.
