Browards Middle Class will mobilize at Awake The State rally on January 10th
Fort Lauderdale Concerned citizens of Broward County will rally January 10th, the opening day of the Legislative Session, in opposition to the anti-Middle Class agenda of Gov. Rick Scott and the extreme Republican-led legislature. Similar Awake The State rallies are being held throughout Florida to demand policymakers focus on protecting and expanding the middle class. WHO: Concerned citizens of Broward County, Florida Middle Class Leaders from around Broward County will speak to the rally about the negative impact Governor Scott and Representative George Moraitis's job-killing, anti-Middle Class agenda has had on Florida. WHAT: A rally mobilizing the middle class of our community on the opening day of the 2012 Legislative Session. WHEN: Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. WHERE: District office of Representative George Moraitis, Jr. NW Corner of Oakland Park Boulevard and Federal Highway (US1). We will continue to fight Rick Scott and the Republican extremists in the legislature until we see these anti-middle class policies changed and the middle class and job creation become the focus in Florida once again, said Awake Broward Organizer, Sean Phillippi. The fight for the future of Florida has begun.
