Flying officer a.t. Rose-price was shot down in his aircraft, L1578, on 2 September 1940. He remains missing to this day, having been shot down near Dungeness. His first solo flight was on 15 July 1943 and he made three flights in early November in the rare twoseat Fw 190 S. Despite burns, he was fortunate, for he lived for many years afterwards in his adopted home in england.
