student who learn a new subject,Academic Writing (AW) at Universiti Teknologi Petronas. He was interviewed for his opinion about the new subject. Initially he was hesitant but after that he personally gave his opinion. It was stated that AW can be define as a type of writing skill to generate a perfect research or report. It was reported that the data or information must be factual and genuine. Thereto, it was stated that it had the own format and organization, the words used must be accurate and specific to understand the readers about the content of the research and mostly important was no errors in the research. It was reported that AW was a medium to show the reader the maturity and the depth of knowledge the writer.
