Projects / Training / Workshop NTPC BADARPUR THERMAL POWER PLANT VOCATIONAL TRAINEE May 2010 - June 2010 Had a successful stint as vocational trainee in NTPC Badarpur. Our training comprised of gaining technical knowledge about Switch Yard, Transformers, Alternators. Achievements Academics Won 1st Prize in paper presentation at NIT-Jamshedpur Techfest 'Ojass 2010'. Won 2nd Prize in paper presentation at ISM-Dhanbad Techfest 'Sparx 2010'. Won 3rd prize in NTPC Flyash Challenge organised by IIT-Kanpur .

Extra - Curricular Activities Fly ash based cement additive 90 million tonnes of fly ash is being generated annually in India which is dumped i n ponds. So we collected a sample of fly ash and grinded it into fine grains using ball-miller and using strength tests established that mixing it with cement increases concrete's durability and its resistance to alkalinity. This project was recognised by NTPC and was awarded 3rd prize in Fly ash Challenge Other Information Diehard Fan of Western Music Culture with an equal inclination for Indian Oldies.
