A PICTURE'S WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS: 8 WEEKS OUT, A CLEAR CONTRAST

With a statement and image released this morning, Richard Becker's campaign spokesman Barry Caro launched the final two months of the Democratic Congressional primary in the new 18th District by highlighting a sharp and clear contrast between the local support for the Becker campaign and one of its primary opponents. The image, shown directly below, maps every donation made by residents of the new 18th or current 19th Congressional Districts to Dr. Becker and one of his opponents, and highlights the fact that Dr. Becker has received an impressive 77.7% of his campaign donations from within the current or future Congressional District - a 111-1 advantage.

"This election is going to turn on a couple of simple questions: Who's going to be the middle class standard-bearer the Hudson Valley needs? Who has what it takes to create jobs right here in the Hudson Valley? Who can go toe-to-toe with Nan Hayworth on women's reproductive rights, on Medicare, and on the GOP's Tea Party extremism? Dr. Becker been a doctor and small businessman here for 30 years, has created hundreds of jobs right here in our communities, and has already been holding Nan Hayworth accountable for months - and the people have noticed." "A picture's worth a thousand words, and this one clearly shows that Hudson Valley Democrats think Dr. Becker is the right person for this job - and are putting their money where their mouths are. This is what a 111-1 in-district fundraising advantage looks like, and it's pretty stark."
