Our Target Market

Our system is beneficial for two directions:
1. Private mobile networks:
Our system can be used to make calls from mobile handsets in the
workplace with the same cost as calling from an internal telephone
extension (PBX) reducing call cost by 25 - 40 %.
Petroleum companies: our system provides a powerful connection
between the main site and rigs' sites in the petroleum well. This
system is very easy to move with rigs when moving from location to
location.
Any other companies that have sites in remote locations can use our
system as Means of communication within the site.
2. Public mobile networks:
Our system helps them to overcome problems described earlier. It is
very useful for temporary locations and in low population areas.
Future Vision
1. Designing and implementing simple PBX to save money.
2. Implementing the system on single PCB to be used for more simple
applications like :
Controlling some applications through GSM network.
Instead of using microphones in lectures, etc.
3. Moving seamlessly between the public mobile network and the private network

Problem Definition
1. Most companies have their own PBX to connect their call but this solution have
problems:
Being fixed.
Using another type of telephone sets.
Being expensive.
2. Remote and temporary locations (out of coverage area), the workers have a
big problem in communicating with each other within the site.
3. Building a new mobile BTS requires time and effort and it is very expensive.
In addition to find a suitable place to build the BTS has proved to be a
dilemma.

Problem Solution
1. Executing an open-source UNIX application that uses the Universal Software Radio
Peripheral (USRP) to present a GSM air interface (Um) to standard GSM handset.
2. Most telephone switching functions, calling features and even mobility management
functions can be moved into a software PBX like Asterisk, eliminating the need for
most of the network infrastructure (HLRs, MSCs, etc.).
3. This is in fact very different from a conventional GSM BTS, which is a dumb device
that is managed externally by a base station controller (BSC) and connects calls in a
remote mobile switching center (MSC).
