Six Sigma Define :


The define phase consists of Project Charter , Stakeholder list, Inputs and Outputs, Business process mapping, Processes and a high level description of the project. Woody Project :

PMBOK Initiation :
The initiation phase would consist : Development of the project charter. Identify Stakeholders Before the initiation phase, in the pre-initiation, a business case or feasibility study is done.

Inputs : Existing space in the Custom Woodworking factory. John Carpenter's mechanical experience in the Project Manager Role. Budget : $17 Million Duration : 18 months Stakeholder list

Outputs : A new facility ( 25% increase in the existing floor area ) Install air conditioner for new space. Dust free paint and furnishing shop complete with additional compressor capacity. Semi - automatic woodworking production train. Development and installation of new hardware and software to run the production train. Renovation of President and Executive Vice President's offices.

Measure: In this phase baseline performance and capability of processes is measured.

Planning: Planning phase includes:

This phase includes planning and execution of data collection, identification of key measures, performance baseline, and calculating sigma level.
