March 1, 2012 RE: Request for AWHONN Teach Back at a cost of $700.

00 I propose that for the cost of $700.00, we could have Nancy Squire come to our facility and do an AWHONN teach back to Shelli Roberts,RNC. At the same time, five other staff nurses from Labor and Deliver can also become AWHONN certified. After Shelli Roberts, RNC completes the AWHONN teach back she will be competent and certified, along with Barbara Clark,RN to instruct other nurses here at MWMC to become AWHONN certified. Our facility could also offer AWHONN certification classes that allow nurses from other facilities around the state to come to our facility, which MWMC could charge a fee for to regain the initial investment of $700.00.
