My fascination in Medicine has been increasingly growing throughout my school studies.

The challenges and pressure put on doctors nowadays by hazardous diseases and phenomenon, have indeed highly promote me to peruse a career in a field which is extremely rewarding and ever-changing. I admire the presence of empathy, caring, patience and support in the medical profession which would enable me to complement my knowledge and my desire of making a difference in peoples lives. The choice of my studies at high school was reflected by my fond of science. Biology classes have not just drawn my attention to the astounding human anatomy, but they have also given me a good insight into the accuracy and complexity of this magnificent creation. More importantly, I had a great opportunity broadening my critical thinking and mental capacity through chemical and physical syllabus which are both interesting and challenging. Participating in the voluntary program at American Mission Hospital, I was amazed by the cooperative and highly demanding medical community. The 30 working hours gave me the chance to build up efficient social competencies while having a clear envisage about my future career. More persistence on pursing medicine was driven by the death of my grandfather who was diagnosed with cancer at a late stage. Having been impotence to make a positive change in familys life, triggered my commitment to support other patients and raise public awareness. To accomplish my aspiration, I volunteered in the 4th Home Sale (bazaar) which took place in Alumni Centre on the 29th of April. The purpose of that event was to gather money to support and develop Bahrain Cancer Society in order to provide more support and services to effected people. Additionally, I am intending to become a member of the society and contribute more effectively to the success of its schemes. Aside from my academic life, I pay a great attention to other interests and extra curriculum activities. These activities have an astonishing influence on my personality and characteristics. The speech contests which I enjoy participating, enables me to build confidence and high self esteem. This is certainly believed to be fundamental issues in medicine. In addition, I have good leadership skills which I started to build during the school days by writing, acting, and organsing humorous plays. Moreover, I am very interested in acquiring other cultures and backgrounds, this would surely expand my thoughts and respect to various nations. It also widens my communication skills and makes me friendlier with others. Thats why I started to learn German language to be able to explore the more advanced medical resources offered by Germany. I am aware of many challenges in the medical field. However, I believe the valuable experience I attained through these years as well as my strong personality would withstand such obstacles.

The commitment and determination are the keys behind my insistence to achieve this goal and fulfill my ambition.
