ONLINE EXAMINATION AND E-LEARNING

MODULES WISE FEATURES

1. REGISTRATION AND LOGIN MODULE A. Form filling
Every user fills the compulsory details in the registration form and if form is incomplete show alert message and restrict the form submission. B. Form submission Fully filled form is only allowed for the submission .when the user clicks on register button a verification code is send to the users mail id and that 4 digit code is necessary for the completion of registration, when the code is verified then only the entries are stored in the database along with user id and password . CAPTCHA code is also checked at time of registration. C. Login Different type of users like students, faculties and admin have different login page and they can only see and edit their own details and every detail of the user is stored like number of exams he appeared and results which are managed by the admin. After login only he can select different exams to appear and get different alerts and change themes according to his interest. If the user enters the wrong id and password for three times the account is blocked. The account is blocked for a particular time limit (24 hrs.) Then it is unblocked using users id, password and a security question.

D. Logout The logged users can logout from his account using sign out option. Once the user has logged out, to view his profile again he has to login in other wise directly he cannot see the page. E. Change password The registered user can change his password when required. To change the password the user has to first enter his old password then enter the new password and confirm it. Now the user can log in using his new password and id. F. Forget password Sometimes the user forgets or loses his password in that case he can get new password using his id and answering to the security question. The new password is send to the mail id of the user which he can use to login along with his id. G. Session management For every user separate session is managed. Session management is used for the security purpose.

2. EXAMINATION MODULE
A. Examination centers Every user is allotted a center where he can appear for the online exam along with his permission letter which is sent to his email id. The candidate gets a printout of the permission letter and appears at examination center along with his id proof. B. Examination paper pattern User gets an online paper in which at time only one question appears with four options and user can select the answer. Next option

After completing a particular question user can go to next question using next option. Previous option If the user wants to change the answer of previous question then he can go to that question using previous option. Summary option In the side column a list question is available, the user can directly jump to that question by clicking that particular question. A summary option is also provided by which the user can see the whole list of question along with their answers. Locking answer option User is also provided with an option to lock the answers after which the answer cannot be changed. This option only works if the user has attempted the question. C. Select course and payment Only logged user can select the different courses in which he has appear for the exam and after payment of a particular amount fixed for the course he is eligible for the online exam. Payment can be made using credit/debit card and electronic fund transfer in the companys account. D. Online exam After the payment of fees the user is eligible to appear at online exam. The user has to finish the exam in a particular time limit which he can see at the timer running during exam. Every exam has different time limits. User is allotted a center at which he appears for the exam

E. Result After the user has finished the test the user is provided result hand to hand without any delay. Copy of result mark sheet is delivered to the email address of the user. F. Certificate to email address Mark sheet is delivered to user email address when he ends the result if the candidate qualifies the exam and eligible for the certificate then the soft copy of certificate is delivered to candidates email id within two days.

3. LEARNING MODULE
A. Details of E books Guest user can only see the details of different e-books available on the site and know about the different certification exam offered by the site. B. Download e book free Only logged user can download and upload e-books. E-books available free. For free e-books the user is provided with direct download link from where he can download. C. Upload e books Only registered are allowed to upload e-books. Guest users are not allowed upload e-books. The faculties are also allowed to upload different notes to help the students. These e-books and notes are managed by the admin.

D. Read notes

Registered users can also read the notes of different subjects uploaded by the faculties but cannot edit these notes and cannot download them. E. Online chat A particular time slot is allotted in which registered users can chat with the faculties and solve their queries. Faculties are appointed in the time slot to solve the queries whose whole information is stored in the database. F. Post queries Only registered users are allowed to post questions and get online help. Whenever there is a new query posted by the user a sms alert is send to the faculty related to the subject of query and within 24 hours solution to the query is posted by the faculty and alert is send to the students account. G. Sample papers Sample papers are also provided for the students for different certification exams.

4. ACCOUNTING MODULE
A. Examination payment Examination payment is made when the user selects a course in which he wants to appear for the exam and makes the online payment using credit/debit card.

B. Transaction records All the transaction records are saved in the database.

5. ALERT MODULE

A. E-mail alerts Different alerts for the registered user like admission form alerts, exam alerts, new e-book alert relevant to the course of user, placement alerts for the certified students. B. Sms alerts Similar alerts are delivered to the registered mobile number through sms

6. REPORTING MODULE
A. Student details Student details can be seen by the faculties. Different list of students can be generated studying in the particular course or certified in a particular exam. B. Faculty details Faculty list can be generated appointed for different course. All the details can be generated like which faculty is appointed for the online chat, subject wise details of faculties, which faculty is not present for the chat and appoint other faculty for the chat. C. Course details Course list can also be generated. Different courses available for the certification. List of new course to added for the certification. D. Transaction details Transaction reports can be generated on daily basis as well as on monthly basis. E. Receipt print At time of online payment receipt can be generated. If there is any inconvenience at the time of receipt print then there is also an option of receipt reprint.

7. SECURITY MODULE
A. Different login page Different type of users will have their own login page this will provide security. The student will not be able to login in to the faculty or admin account. Admin will have his own login page from where he can log in using his own id and password. B. Id and password Every registered user is provided with a unique id (username) and password which is used to log in purpose and view or edit his own details. Without valid id and password user is not allowed to log in the account. C. Dual login At time online examination there is a functionality of dual log in. First the faculty logs in then only the student is allowed to login and appear for the online exam. D. Exam centers Online examination is only allowed at particular examination centers. All the students who want to appear for the online exam are allotted a particular examination center. The student has to report at that examination center to give the online exam.

8. SEARCH MODULE A. Simple search

In simple search only single field is allowed and name wise searching is done. User enters the text in the space provided and searches the web site name wise.

B. Advance search
In advance search more than one field is used to search the website. The user is provided with more than one field in which user fills the data and searches the web site. For example one field for the name of e-book and one field for category of the e-book and one field

9. Admin panel
A. Controls the site Admin controls the whole site. Admin allots different roles for the different authorities. B. Database management Admin is responsible to manage the database. Admin provides different people with rights like read, write, edit and delete etc. C. Faculty management Admin registers the different faculty which is available for the site. D. Reports management Admin can generate different reports of online payments, details of the students, faculty. E. Examination management Admin allots the centers for online examination and give the rights to faculties to take online exams.
