NHRD strongly believes that Entrepreneurship is the best solution to enrich the glory of India as stable, strong and sustainable economy. In order to encourage this vision of promoting entrepreneurship in India, NHRD organizes The Big Idea , an innovative business plan competition. The objective of the Business Plan Contest is to provide a meaningful learning experience for students who are interested in pursuing an entrepreneurial opportunity at some point in their careers. The Big Idea competition provides a platform for potential and prospective ideas and early stage start-ups to evaluate their plan in the risk free

environment of a competition and aims to bridge the gap between

ideas and the realization of an enterprise. Being an

excellent platform of this magnitude participation in The Big Idea Competition by NHRD also provides winners an opportunity to present their BIG IDEA with entrepreneurs and renowned HR professionals. Establishing ones own idea or start-up in present enormous competitive world is very challenging as well as time consuming process. The fundamental business idea needs to be carefully nurtured and molded before it evolves into a successful start-up. NHRD Hyderabad takes this into consideration to make the dream into reality by enabling them to rene their Business Plan during the course of the competition.

eligibility
q Students of Engineering and Business Management Students (PG level) with due acknowledgement from their respective educational institution duly aMested by HOD/ Principal/ Director with proper seal/ stamp. q There is no limit for number of teams from each college. q A student cannot participate in dierent teams more than twice. q Teams must be comprised of two to ve members q Teams may submit more than one entry. However, only one entry per team will be selected for advancement to the semi-nals.

1. Business Idea (70%)

a) Originality (business idea is new, novel, unique) b) Clear and compelling value proposition (legitimate, recognized need; appropriate solution) c) Competitive advantage (creates more value for customer than alternative solutions) d) Market opportunity (adequate market size; viable business model) e) Feasibility (reasonable prospect of funding and successful implementation)

how to go about it ?
Prelims : Submit your plan online to ds.nhrdhyd@gmail.com on or
before 15th July 2012. It should consist of 3-5 page executive summary + PPT presentation. 1. 2. 3. The materials you submit should cover: A clear picture of the capital requirements for the business and your phased plan for raising that capital, and what you would hope to achieve as milestones associated with each tranche of capital; Market data based on customer research and customer response analysis. Semi Finals : A panel of judges from all potential groups would
