Munich, 15/02/2011 Munich is looking forward to 2012, as that is the year when iba will transform the cosmopolitan city with a heart" into one with a passion for the baking sector. The preparations for this leading international trade fair for bakers and pastry chefs are already in full swing. The demand for places in the twelve Munich trade fair halls is high. Many exhibitors are already playing it safe: all the prominent companies from the global baking scene have already registered. They will be showcasing their newest developments, ranging from foods for out-and-about, to production technology, raw ingredients, process optimisation and sales. These innovations will set the standards for the entire sector over the next three years. The above average registration rate has given us a real boost. We are very optimistic that we will achieve our ambitious targets for iba 2012. After all, it is only at iba that the entire sector will be demonstrating their potential, comments Dieter Dohr, Head of the trade fair organisers GHM Gesellschaft fr Handwerksmessen mbH. The number one trade fair for investment goods will be taking place in Munich from 16 to 21 September 2012. The dates of the upcoming event are particularly attractive as they allow every trade fair visitor the opportunity to combine attendance with a trip to Oktoberfest. The worlds largest public festival begins on 22 September 2012, one day after the trade fair finishes. However iba will also be offering all exhibitors and visitors a taste of Oktoberfest across the six days of the trade fair: in our original Munich Oktoberfest tent, everyone will be able to enjoy a Ma of beer and some chicken whilst listening to some Bavarian brass music. The tent is also the perfect place for discussions with colleagues and customers.
