201218 Dated 17 August 2012 TO: Loyola Schools Student Body FROM: Ateneo Commission on Elections RE: Official Results of the 2012 Sanggunian Freshmen and Special Elections Article XI, Section 1 of the Amended Electoral Code 2011 stipulates that: The elections shall be declared valid only if at least 50% + 1 (rounded up to the nearest whole number) of the constituency have cast their votes." Moreover, from Article XIII, Section 1 of the Amended Electoral Code 2011: In order for a particular candidate to win a position, the number of votes for him/her should be greater than the number of abstentions as well as the number of votes for each of his/her opponents, should he/she have any." Hence, in accordance with these conditions, the Commission announces the results of the recently concluded 2012 Sanggunian Freshmen and Special Elections. Congratulations to all the winners!
