Labor Scheduler User's Guide provides information about how to configure and use Aloha
Labor Scheduler (ALS) to work with the Aloha sys- tem, QuickService or TableService, to schedule
employees to work in your restaurant at exactly the most cost-effective times. Is This Guide for You?
The Aloha Labor Scheduler User's Guide is intended for novice and experi- enced users of Aloha Labor
Scheduler. New users may find the general infor- mation sections useful for getting their bearings in the
program. More experienced users will find the information in the balance of the guide invalu- able for
making the most of ALS.
Aloha Labor Scheduler is an advanced, yet simple-to-use program that helps you to easily create efficient
work schedules. You can quickly modify, replace, or delete the information you enter, and you can add
remarks on employee shifts or job codes. You can plan ahead and consider which type of staff members
you need at work, how many, at what times, and so on. Aloha Labor Scheduler also lets you watch your
costs so you can compare budgets with actual dollars spent on labor. If you are tired of writing schedules
by hand and making copies every week, then this is the program for you!
This guide assumes you have the following knowledge:
Basic understanding of restaurant terminology and concepts.
Basic understanding of PCs and Microsoft Windows.
Understanding of the operation of a computer mouse and keyboard.

application components, such as scroll bars, buttons, drop-down lists, text boxes, radio buttons, and check
boxes.
