our mission is to create a conference where you can come to learn, connect, and recharge

our mission is beautifully played out by our five core values

JesUs-CeNteRed From our main sessions down to our peer panelsall

the way through the SYMC experience, we choose to live out who Jesus is. With over 15 Connect Groups meeting inside a balanced conference schedule, youll have time to create lasting ministry friendships.

ReLatioNsHiPs

iN-dePtH LeaRNiNg The tracks at SYMC are designed to be as

focused or as flexible as you need them to be. Choose from more than 300 hours of learning over four days.

iNNoVatioN This year we have 190+ hours of brand-new classes that offer
fresh ideas delivered by new voices, lending to an all-new experience. This word gets thrown around a lot, but for our SYMC team it means we care about you, your ministry, and your relationship with Jesus.

In a strange way, it can feel safer to be weak than to be strong. When youre weak, people lower their expectations for what you can and cant do. Youre not under pressure to come through. You have an easy excuse for why things didnt turn out so well. Its easy to make weakness a kind of default response when were struggling or under pressure. Sure, the Apostle Paul said, I am well content with weaknesses. But he wasnt giving in to weakness. He boasted in his weaknesses for one reason: That the power of Christ may dwell in me.... For when I am weak, then I am strong. We believe its time for a turn in youth ministryto shift from a focus on our obvious weaknesses to a focus on the power of Christ dwelling in us. Weakness, in the end, simply exposes our tendency to depend upon ourselves instead of God. Its time to depend upon God, with all our hearts, again Its time to gather together at SYMC to worship Him, to grow in our intimacy with Him, to deepen our youth ministry skills, and to be a part of a supportive community. Its a time to be authentic about our weaknesses, but to focus on His strength. We invite you to join us...

Welcome to JasoN ostRaNdeR!

How do we feel about Jason joining the team? Excited. Thrilled. Stoked. Elated. Pumped. Hyped up. Ecstatic. Happy. Exhilarated. (Get the idea?) Jason truly is one of us and one of you: Hes been a youth pastor, hes led the youth ministries for a denomination, hes traveled all over the place as a speaker and filmmaker, and he even owns skinny jeans. (OK, not all of us wear skinny jeans.)

SyMC is designed to maximize your training investmentwere committed to preparing you to leave fully equipped with the tools you need.
MOre ThaN 150 CLaSSeS TO ChOOSe FrOM (aLMOST haLF are NeW):
Youll get two to three times the number of training and soul-care options than at other training eventswith more time for in-depth learning and discussion, and more practical solutions for your ministry needs.

iNTeraCTive SMaLL-CLaSS FOrMaT:

Learn from dynamic speakers who dont simply lecturewe coach our trainers to create an interactive, experiential environment for learning thats designed to engage you! Workshop size is limited so theres enough room to learn comfortably, and most workshops have round-table seating to pave the way for discussion and relationship-building.

praCTiCaL, reLevaNT iNFOrMaTiON:

Leave with solutions to strengthen your ministry and impact students. Our training environment gives you time to focus on practically applying ideas into your ministry context. Discussion, coaching, and post-workshop peer panels offer you added opportunities to explore ideas with others who understand your ministry context.

perSONaL aTTeNTiON FrOM TOp-NOTCh SpeakerS aNd LeaderS:

Todays most respected voices in youth ministry commit to SYMCs four days of ministry engagement, which means they are here and accessible day and night to engage with you in and out of the classroom!

Pre-Conference Tracks are $49 (for registered attendees) and $99 (for non-registered attendees), which includes lunch with the speaker.

deeper LearNiNG TraCkS are a key distinctive of SYMC and live into our
core value of in-depth learning. Instead of being overwhelmed by the firehose blast of information in a typical seminar, this revolutionary class format takes time to wrestle with concepts, and will help you explore new ideas and learn how to implement them in your own ministry. deeper Learning Tracks offer a progressive series of four classes (two hours each) for a total of eight intense hours focused on that topic with the same speaker(s).

haLF-TraCkS are the way to go if you want depth with more variety. Half-Tracks
are like Deeper Learning Tracks, but in half the time! half-Tracks offer a series of two classes (two hours each) for a total of four hours.

WOrkShOpS are still meaty with two full hours of learning and additional time
for Q&a. If youre looking for variety, you can choose from more than 50 classes.

peer paNeLS offer practical, diverse perspectives on a topic in a Q&a format.

Moderated by a speaker, each session features a panel of seasoned, in-the-trenches youth workers who will share their best practice examples from their ministries and offer solutions to your questions.
