Rajasthan North & west -14 N /15 D

Day 01: New Delhi - Agra - Bharatpur (260 KM) You shall be joining the tour at a hotel in New Delhi (if you havent purchased an Add-on) from where youll board a MUV arranged by ABoriginal Tours and proceed to Agra (about 4 hours). Today you will visit the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri before proceeding to the days last destination of Bharatpur. Day 02: Bharatpur (short familiarisation ride to Deeg - 70 KM) In the morning you can visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park and do some bird watching. Before Lunch it will be time to get familiar with your motorcycle. After an exhaustive briefing youll be taking a short ride (in an effort to know your bike better and to get familiar with its controls and riding conditions in India) to Deeg and also visit the beautiful Palace there. The rest of the evening is free for leisure. Day 03: Bharatpur - Jaipur (185 KM) After breakfast youll kick-start your motorcycle tour and head towards Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan. Day 04: Jaipur The day is yours for sightseeing and Jaipur has a lot to offer in that field. Day 05: Jaipur - Mandawa (185 KM) Leaving Jaipur, you head north-west on the NH-11 towards the Shekhwati region, to the town of Mandawa. Referred to as the "open air art gallery" of Rajasthan, not just Mandawa but the entire Shekhawati region is dotted with fascinating mansions (havelis) embellished with frescoes & colourfully painted walls. Day 06: Mandawa - Bikaner (190 KM) Joining the NH-11 again, youll head westwards towards the city of Bikaner, one of the famous desert cities of Rajasthan. Day 07: Bikaner Bikaner's spectacular landscape is dominated by the indomitable Junagarh Fort and the red sandstone Lalgarh Palace both of which youll visit today. The afternoon can be well utilized to visit the old city. Day 08: Bikaner - Jaisalmer (330 KM) Today we turn south-westwards on NH-15 and head for Jaisalmer, another beautiful desert town located in the Thar desert. Its the longest riding day of the tour so deservingly, well be stopping en route at Phalodi, for a lunch as well as to see hundreds of migratory Demoiselle Cranes at the nearby village of Khichan, reaching Jaisalmer just in time to see the sunset behind the Golden Fort. Day 09: Jaisalmer The day is yours for visiting the Living Fort (yes, its the only fort with a fourth of Jaisalmers population living within its walls) and other inquisitively carved mansions which make for some of the most beautiful buildings in the state. Day 10: Jaisalmer - Sam sand dunes (45 KM) After spending the morning in Jaisalmer, after lunch its time to move further into the Thar desert. An hour or sos ride will bring you to Sam, a small village 40 Km from Jaisalmer. Accommodation is in comfortable tented camps inclusive of a Camel ride into the Sunset and a cultural program of Rajasthani music & dance. Day 11: Sam - Jodhpur (325 KM) Continuing eastwards youll make your way to Jodhpur, one of the most spectacular destinations in Rajasthan. Day 12: Jodhpur The day is yours to visit the places of interest like the Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace & Jaswant Thada. Day 13: Jodhpur - Pushkar (185 KM) Leaving Jodhpur, you'll head north east to Pushkar, a holy town famous for its lake, various ghats and temples spread all around it. Day 14: Pushkar - Bharatpur (325 KM)

Today youll saddle-up one last time and head back to Bharatpur. Having gone around best of North & West Rajasthan youll be homing back to this bird sanctuary. Todays Farewell dinner will be a special occasion. Day 15: Bharatpur - New Delhi Today, Itll be time to say your good-byes to your fellow travelers & Rajasthan. You will be boarding the MUV again which will take you back to New Delhi (about 6 hours) and drop you to a convenient location (like Connaught Place) which shall be the end of your tour. Your final destination today will be a small village of Kelwara situated 6 KM from Kumbhalgarh. Day 14: Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur (130 KM) The Mewar fortress of Kumbhalgarh is a remarkable battlement surrounded by a wildlife sanctuary, home to a very large variety of wild life, some of which are highly endangered species. This impregnable fort fell only once to the combined forces of four kingdoms including Emperor Akbar. After visiting the Kumbhalgarh Fort youll be proceeding to Udaipur, the city of lakes. Day 15: Udaipur Udaipur, a tourists delight as it is, will most likely have you spending the next two days visiting all it has to offer. Day 16: Udaipur The last evening in Udaipur will be a great time to absorb the stunning views of the Pichola Lake from the sunset point or one of the numerous roof-top restaurants lining the "ghats" around the lake and reminiscing the past few days after you left Bharatpur, as the sun sets. Day 17: Udaipur - Chittorgarh - Bijaipur (150 KM) Heading north-east from Udaipur, you first stop today will be the spectacular fort of Chittorgarh, one of the most romantic of Rajasthans fortifications. After a visit to the Fort, youll ride further 40 KM to Castle Bijaipur, now a heritage hotel and your destination of the day. Day 18: Bijaipur - Bundi (150 KM) About 150 Km north-east of Bijaipur lies the quaint town of Bundi. Site of yet another impressive fort, the Taragarh, it is also known particularly for its architectural note seen in its ornate forts, palaces, and step-well reservoirs known as baoris. Day 19: Bundi - Ranthambhore National Park (120 KM) Todays destination lies further north-east of Bundi and is home to the famous Royal Bengal Tiger. Situated in Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, Ranthambhore was formerly the hunting grounds for the Maharajahs of Jaipur before Indian independence. Day 20: Ranthambhore Ranthambhore, now a Project Tiger reserve since 1973, is also home to other major wild animals including the leopard, nilgai, dhole, wild boar, sambar, hyena, sloth bear, chital and a variety of birds & reptiles. A typical day at Ranthambhore starts with a pre dawn wildlife safari which lasts about 2-3 hours. The rest of the day can be an opportunity for relaxation, exploration or contemplation depending on your inclination. After lunch you head out again towards the national park, a nice afternoon ride to visit the 1000 year old Ranthambhore fort and watch the sunset. Day 21: Ranthambhore - Bharatpur (235 KM) Today youll saddle-up one last time and head back to Bharatpur. Having gone a full circle around Rajasthan youll be homing back to this bird sanctuary. Todays Farewell dinner will be a special occasion. Day 22: Bharatpur - New Delhi Today, Itll be time to say your good-byes to your fellow travelers & Rajasthan.
