Machine is designed to work at room temperature but the product, which needs to pack, decides the room environmental conditions. Generally room temperature should be maintained between 20 25 C / 70 80 F. The relative humidity should be maintained below 50 % RH for most application. However certain product do require some special precautions. Kindly refer the handling SOP for specific product for more details. Machine configuration - Machine has various stations to perform important basic functions i.e.

Product Feeding Feeding of the product is depend upon type of product. station Generally Universal feeding sytem is used as it take care for maximum variety of product. NFD After feeding of product, filled web passes through the NFD sensor. If any of the cavity is not filled with product, that particular blister gets rejected after punching Sealing station Sealing of the top lidding foil is done with the help of sealing roller at set required temperature and pressure. Station is designed to take care of Aluminum foil, paper foil and child resistant foil. Indexing satiton After sealing operation, sealed web needs to index by designed advance for punching. Maximum advance for std. Machine is 125 mm. Perforation station Perforation of the blister takes place in this station. This is done by blades. Sealing station Sealing of the top lidding foil is done with the help of sealing Plates at set required temperature and pressure. Station is designed to take care of Aluminum foil, paper foil and child resistant foil. With four pillar construction for uniform pressure all over the format. Top sealing plate is common for all change part. Indexing satiton After sealing operation, sealed web needs to index by designed advance for punching. Maximum advance for std. Machine is 90 mm. This is done by specially designed compact drive assembly with aid of Indexing roller. With front change over. Perforation / Perforation of the blister takes place in this station. This embossing station is done by blades. Punching station Punching of the blister in designed shape is punched from sealed web with aid of compact drive gear box. Blister Pick Up After punching, blisters are picked up with rotary arms system with the help of vacuum and despensed as per NFD/Camera system.

SHIPPING BILL This is a statutory document prescribed for processing in customs for shipment of goods. Generally four copied of shipping bills are submitted in difference colors each having specific significance and use. Such documents for import are called Bill of Entry. While filing the Shipping Bill, additional documents required depending upon the case are: Invoice, packing list, copy of L/C, export licence, quality control certificate, GR form, drawback claim application form, AR 4 form, etc. GR FORM (EXCHANGE CONTROL DOCUMENT) This is a declaration by the exporter in the format prescribed by RBI to be submitted along with the shipping bill to customs. The declaration must contain the information about sender, consignee, description of goods, full export value of goods in foreign currency, etc. The exporter submits a duplicate of GR form with its bank along with shipping documents. The bank endorses the copy after realization of sales proceeds and sends it to RBI. The original copy submitted at customs is also directed to RBI by the customs. The RBI confirms the realization of the proceeds as per full export value after comparing the two copies. AR 4-FORM Every manufacturer for clearance of excisable goods files an application AR-4 from his factory for export. The clearances can be under claim for rebate of duty or under bond. The goods can be examined and sealed at the factory by a central excise officer having jurisdiction over the factory. BANK GUARANTEE / LEGAL UNDERTAKING Wherever any duty free import is allowed, the importer has to execute a Legal Undertaking (LUT)/Bank Guarantee (BG)/ Bond with the Customs Authority before clearance of goods through the Customs. However, exporters with export turnover of Rupees 5 crore or more in the current or preceding licencing year are exempted from furnishing a BG for any of the Foreign Trade Policy schemes and may furnish a LUT in lieu of BG.
CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN The Certificate of Origin is an instrument to establish evidence of the origin of goods imported into any country. The certificates are issued under the ambit of the rules of origin of any importing country that grants such concessions to tariffs or merely stipulates a nonpreferential certificate without granting any tariff concession. Various countries have formulated their Rules of Origin, which grant greater access to goods from the developing and the least developed countries under the preferential mode. There are two categories of Certificate of Origin viz. (1) Preferential and (2) Non preferential. A.T. - It stands for American Terms (Marine Insurance). A term used to differentiate between the conditions of American Policies with other nations, primarily England. ABI - It stands for Automated Brokerage Interface. A system available to the US Customs Brokers with the capabilities of computer and customs certification to transmit and exchange the customs entries and other related information, facilitating prompt release of imported cargo. Advance Against Documents - It is the loan made on the security of documents covering the shipment. Advisory Capacity - It is a term, which indicates that the shipper's agent, or representative is not empowered to make any definite decisions or adjustments without the approval of the group or the individual being represented. Air Freight Forwarder - They provide pickup and delivery service under their own tariff, consolidates air shipments into larger units, prepares shipping documentation, and also tenders shipments to the airlines. Since they do not usually operate their own aircraft, they are also called "indirect air carriers." The airlines consider these forwarder as shipper because they tender the shipment.

Dead Freight - It is a freight charge, which is paid by the charterer of a vessel for the contracted space only and not for the partial unoccupied space. 2. As a part of second enquiry we have found out the treaty trade between India and Nepal TREATY OF TRADE BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA AND GOVERNMENT OF NEPAL
The Government of India and His Government of Nepal (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties), Being conscious of the need to fortify the traditional connection between the markets of the two countries, Being animated by the desire to strengthen economic cooperation between them, Impelled by the urge to develop their economies for their several and mutual benefit, and Convinced of the benefits of mutual sharing of scientific and technical knowledge and experience to promote mutual trade, Have resolved to conclude a Treaty of Trade in order to expand trade between their respective territories and encourage collaboration in economic development, and Have for this purpose appointed as their Plenipotentiaries the following persons, namely, For the government of India Shri P. Government of Nepal, with a view to continuing preferences given to Indian exports, will waive additional customs duty on all Indian exports during the validity of the Treaty.
(a) This Treaty shall remain in force **for a period of five years from 6thMarch, 2002 to 5th March, 2007 and shall be automatically extended for further periods of five (5) years at a time, unless either of the parties gives to the other a written notice, three months in advance, of its intention to terminate the Treaty. (b)* This Treaty may be amended or modified by mutual consent of the parties. Done in duplicate in Hindi, Nepali and English languages, all the texts being equally authentic, at New Delhi on 6th December 1991. In case of doubt, the English text will prevail.

It will help to extend existing costumer base in chewing gum industry. As we can add as references when contacting with other companies. THREATS As stock is not up to the satisfactory level , delay in deliveries may affect the business.
SUGESTIONS
While drafting the letter I have suggested some ideas. A separate team has to be formed to promote the Blister packing Machines in chewing gum industry as there is still lot of potential in chewing gum industry all over the world. Stock has to be maintained using inventory techniques like EOQ and ABC. Which could help the company to supply the costumers in time as compared to competitors. Spread the business with Nepal as there is treaty trade between India and Nepal.
