Hence, it is better to feel its essence flow through diplomatic conduct than to see a tarnished representation of it.

Objective

Security
Hierarchy of needs (Maslow and Frager, 1987) Ontological security (Giddens, 1984) Passive belonging vs. governmental belonging (Hage, 1998)
Identity
Identity = new home (Kinvall, 2004) Glocalized production of differences
(Wieviorka, 2004)
Objects
Nation-states, Individuals
same vs. economic, cultural Hard/Traditional vs. Soft/Human Security
world money automobility global media digitized information and the Internet social movements travelling peoples international terrorism
Nation-state
- crisis of efficiency
5F: carry out terrorist acts 4F: recruitment to terrorist organization 3F: moral engagement 2F: displace aggression to enemy
Conclusion
High/state-centric politics (solid modernity) has been and continues to be prevalent in conceptualizing security. Liquid modernity tends to problematize security and trace it to non-state entities (global fluids). The locus of new terrorism can be traced to the security-identity nexus.

Advisers note
(in light of the CCYDs Official Statement regarding the IRFS logo)
It has been a painful decision to issue the cease and desist order. Everyone can pin the blame on me for this bombshell. Yet, despite the cost, hope is not lost. For while the country is reeling from denials of liability in the 'Sotto-copy' controversy, the CCYD has opted to take the principled path of owning its challenges. I hope all of us in the IRFS track will join hands with the CCYD in reinventing the face of politics.
