General Description of the Business


This is a partnership business where the main activity of the firm is to provide quality product through the Multan city. We will collect chicken and eggs from different producer near to Multan city. Chicken and eggs will be distributed to restaurant, super shop, hotel, community center, and bakery and catering houses around Multan city. Prolong the sufficient supply to the customer is one of our most important purpose. We want to supply extend area of Multan city with affordable price.

Industry Background
The poultry farm is a project of livestock sector, in which, the day old chicks (DOCs) are raised on high protein feed for a period of six weeks. Broiler meat is the cheapest source of animal protein available in the country. The time required for rearing broiler birds is lesser than that for large animals. The consumption of white meat is increasing due to growing health consciousness in the masses. Broiler farming is a profitable venture due to continuous increasing demand of the meat in the market. Annually, seven flocks of birds will be reared on the same premises of the farm. The broiler birds are sold to traders and the whole sellers markets in the urban areas. Sometimes birds can also be sold directly to the shopkeepers in the urban markets. Broiler meat is the cheapest source of animal protein available in the country. The time required for raising broiler birds is lesser than that for big animals. The consumption of white meat is increasing due to growing health consciousness in the masses. According to the Agriculture Statistics of Pakistan the per capita consumption of poultry meat is increasing at a rate of 4% per annum.

Our main competitors is Khawaja poultry Farming and they are doing the business in this field from last 7 years but we have an edge on them because we are making controlled sheds which will be computerized but their sheds are not controlled they have manual sheds which results in many diseases in chicks.

We will only sale product with a limited profit that means our sales price is our cost plus limited profit. Location of our Business will be in the city of Multan at Mutital Road near Khawaja Poultry Form. We have selected this place because there will be no environmental problem because this place is away from the city.

Advantages
Poultry Farming in Controlled Environment has brought a great change in poultry industry of Pakistan and is rapidly becoming popular among broiler producers due to its following significant advantages: 1. The temperature remains consistent round the clock providing very conducive environment to the broilers. 2. The temperature can be brought down by 10C to 15C in controlled environment farm as compared to the conventional farm and makes environment more comfortable for birds. 3. In conventional farming the broiler production in summer is almost stopped and only four flocks could be taken whereas in controlled environment farming 6-7 flocks could be raised 4. Being controlled environment the incidence of diseases could be minimized and cut down the cost of vaccine and medication of Rs. 2-3 per bird as compared to conventional farming. 5. In controlled environment farm only one person at daytime and one at night time are sufficient to look after a flock of 35,000 birds. Whereas conventional farm nearly 6-8 persons are required to manage such a flock. 6. In controlled environment farm a broiler flock is ready for market in 37 days as compared to 45 days in conventional farm.

Taxes
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is likely to reduce minimum tax rate from 1 percent to 0.5 percent for poultry sector under Section 113 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.

Access to Transport
No doubt our location is bit away from city but by this we will not have transport issue because mainly we need trucks and mazda services and they are easily available from our location

Main Risk which we will face is diseases factor and the other obstacles is delivery risk we have to see that always delivery is on the right time because over time delivery may cause problems. We have to make sure that we put the delivery within the 40 days of filling of sheds because after this chicken become overweighed and their legs are broken which cause many problems.
