Urbino Low Entry

comfort and functionality

Smooth passenger flow is a challenge met by the Urbino Low Entry on a daily basis. Simple solutions applied in this Solaris vehicle combine the advantages of low-floor and traditional buses. The low floor in the front and middle part enables passengers to easily get on and off the bus, whereas the high floor in the rear part provides the space for installing components of the chassis that are less complicated than those used in low-floor buses.

The Urbino Low Entry is an ideal solution to provide services on commuter routes and intercity lines. The design of this bus and its equipment guarantee comfortable travel both on short and long distances. Solaris Urbino buses in the LE version are driven by heavy-duty engines that meet the most stringent emissions standards. Apart from Urbino 12 and 15 buses, the Low Entry product group, also includes the Alpino 8,9 and Urbino 12, 15 and 18 CNG. The Solaris Urbino LE CNG is powered by compressed natural gas. This gas-fuelled drive allows gaseous pollutants to be reduced by 85% and particulate matter by almost 100% when compared to conventional engines. Therefore the Urbino LE CNG meets the most stringent environmental standards.

Low floor

route

for longer

Urbino Low Entry buses, especially those with three axles, are extremely popular in Scandinavia. In an operation that was once dominated by classic, high-floor vehicles, the diverse needs of passengers forced local transport companies to introduce step-free vehicles. In this case the low-entry Urbino LE proved to be the ideal solution, combining easy access for passengers with the provision of a large number of forward-facing seats and ensuring a comfortable travel even on longer routes.

The Agile

Solaris Alpino

The Alpino LE with its length of 8.9 meters and width of 2.4 metres is the smallest low-entry vehicle manufactured by Solaris. It was designed primarily for overcoming narrow and winding suburban and regional routes, but it also performs well on city streets, especially on less busy routes. Agile, practical, friendly to passengers and environment - that is the Alpino!

to local

Solaris has one of the widest offers of low-entry buses in the market. The range includes Low Entry vehicles with lengths of 8,9, 12, 15 and 18 meters, the latter being an articulated version. This wide selection makes Solaris Low Entry buses ideal for city centres, local roads and intercity routes. The customers decide on their application and final specification.
