Executive Summary
Organization are made up of people and function through people, without people organisation cannot exist. The resources of men, money, material and

machinery are collected, co-ordinate and utilized through people. These resources by themselves cannot fulfill the objectives of an organisation. They need to be united into a team. It is through the combined efforts of people that material and monetary resources are effectively utiliesed for the attainment of common objectives. Personnel or Human Resource Management deal with the people dimension in management. It primarily encompasses those activities designed to provide for and coordinate the human resource of an organisation. According to National Institute of Personnel Management of India " Human Resource Management is that part of Management concerned with people at work and with their relationship within the organisation. It Seeks to bring together men and women who make up an enterprise enabling each to make his own best contribution to its success both as an individual and as a member of a working group. The above aim of attaining goals could be achieved only if the skills in humans are developed and they remain committed to the organisation are essential for the accomplishment of organisation objectives which is only possible through training.

Trainee readiness means that trainees must possess the background skills and knowledge necessary to learn the material that will be presented to them. The other precondition for learning is trainee motivation. Ideally trainees should see a need for the new skills and understand how successfully training will benefit them, while some learning can occur without motivation learning is much more efficient if trainees want to learn. There are several ways to increase Researcher has shown that the attitudes and expectations of trainees as they begin a training program can effect their reactions to the programme and the amount they learn. Thus such type of training should be imparted which makes them all-rounder. 5. More of external trainers - Training is provided by both internal and external trainers but the employees are more agreeing with external trainers, thus more of external trainers should be arranged. 6. Off the job training - Most of the training that is provided is on the job. Off the job training should also be given to the employees. 7. Evaluation of Trainers - The whole training programmes success depends on trainers. Employees are evaluated after the training sessions and trainers should be evaluated before it. The behavior and attitudes of the instructor are the most crucial factors in any training programme. 8. It was delightful experience to see how the HR processes we studied during first year of our MBA course could be brought into practice. And to our surprise the real learning only starts once you are at workplace. Moreover we feel that hospitality sector has huge prospects for growth especially in HRM owing to the fact that this sector absorbs large chunks of skilled population who are comparatively less qualified but amount to creation of huge revenues for the economy thought their dedication towards serving the guests and adding a personal touch to their duties. On the basis of the survey done in The Laxmi Niwas Palace it can be concluded that training is the essential part in each and every organization training cannot be ignored since it is a hospitality sector. The training co-ordinator of The Laxmi Niwas Palace is doing tremendous job in imparting training. The employees are well aware of their training programs, thus efforts should be put more to see that training is a continuous and should be a continuous process. The more of opportunity should be

given to young employees so that they are able to learn new things, grasp easily and implement them properly, adding value to their job.
