Faculty Coordinator: Alan S. Dillon, B.ChE. and B.S. Psychology is a Section Chief with the NJDEP Bureau of Safe Drinking Water. He has familiarity in troubleshooting third world water system operations and developing international operator certication standards. He has over twenty-ve years of permitting/ compliance experience with New Jerseys public water systems.

The world of drinking water regulation is becoming ever more complex. Fully understanding LCR, LT2, Stage 2 DBP, E-2 or UCMR-3 can be a challege. This interactive two-day course will provide you with the knowledge you need to comply with the ever changing regulations - TCHs to boot! The course will cover key provisions of both Federal and State Safe Drinking Water Act regulations and address critical issues impacting the water industry in 2013 and beyond. Topics will include sanitary surveys, practical implementation of the Groundwater Rule, the requirements associated with the revised Total Coliform Rule, asbestos waivers and the new small water system loan program. Speakers will highlight the increasing importance of capacity development and asset management in assuring the long term viability of water systems and how both issues can aect a utilitys ability to obtain DWSRF infrastructure funding. This popular annual event provides a thorough overview of Safe Drinking Water programs for both experienced personnel and those new to the eld. NJDEP personnel will be available on both days to answer individual questions and address water system concerns.
This course has been submitted for continuing education credit approval for Certied Public Works Managers. OCPE has been approved by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services as a provider of NJ Public Health Continuing Education Contact Hours (CEs). OCPE is an approved provider of NJ Professional Engineer CPC credits. credits
