Masters Message
Brethren, We have finally located Br. Charles Anderson. He qualified for his Golden Veteran Award in November 2007, but he could not be found. His dues were paid for the years 2007 and 2008, so we knew he was alive but where? We finally determined that he was located in Corona and his personal affairs were in the hands of a conservator who had promptly paid his bills, including his dues. On January 20th, Wor. Read and I went to visit him in Corona. Br. Anderson was born on a farm in Colorado on February 18, 1921, where he grew up with 2 brothers and a sister. He moved to North Long Beach in 1940 to look for work. He went to work for the Chrysler Corporation and retired in 1986 at the age of 65. He was raised Nov. 1957 in Orange County Daylight Lodge #625, now Anaheim Lodge #207. He never married and was content being a bachelor. He sincerely appreciated receiving his 50-year pin and certificate, which was hanging in his room as we left. This may mark the year that membership in Masonic Lodges makes a turn. We have already had 4 Fellowcraft passed, 1 Entered Apprentice and 2 applications received for degrees since the first of the year. At least 5 applications are pending for March and April. There are 2 Third Degrees scheduled in March with at least one each in April and May. We are receiving frequent responses from visitors to our web site, www.calodges.org/no207 , and are finding that there are many men in our community who are interested in becoming Masons. Our officers will be busy for months to come. Fraternally, R. W. Bud Coleman, Master

Editors note: Brethren, Please observe the extensive list of names in the Circle of Concern this month. This is a result of our Lodges positive outreach to the members and especially our widows. Many of the widows would like to have attended the luncheon in February, but could not get out due to health reasons. Another example is the extensive search for Br. Anderson that our Master informed you about in his article. Our Master, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Officers and active Brothers are making a diligent effort to stay in contact with our Brothers, their families and widows to make sure that we uphold our obligations to all of our members. We need your help in keeping our contact information current and also if you have information on a Brother or widow who we should contact. Please take a minute and contact those that you may know in the Circle of Concern and let them know that you care about them.
Editors further note: Brethren, this is our first attempt to list all of the living Past Masters of the several lodges that have consolidated into Anaheim #207. Some of the older records of the Lodges are incomplete. Please scan the list and inform the Assistant Secretary of any information that could assist the lodge in providing a more complete record of our Brethren.
