How fast did September slip by?! Now that were in the thick of things, we want you to start thinking about what you can do for yourself professionally this year. We all need humor, encouragement, and new teaching ideas from time to time to help us stay fresh and renewed in our classrooms. Thats exactly what this years Fall Conference will do for you. We are bringing together four of Colorados best presenters to spend a day (Saturday, October 13) with you at the awesome Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Dont miss Mira Canion, Dale Crum, Shannon Ruiz and Teacher of the YearNoah Geisel, all in one day! Chances like this dont come around often, so be sure to join us. In fact, the deadline is upon us, so STOP READING NOW, GO TO www.regonline.com, and GET REGISTERED!!!! There is NO onsite registration, due to security at the Academy. Now that youre registered (and back), our parent organization, ACTFL, is also providing some excellent Webinars this fall. Weve included a page (later in the newsletter) to let you know about those. You can expect the high quality we always receive from ACTFL to be present in these webinars. Check them out. Yes, it is early to start thinking about the Spring Conference, (after all we are just gearing up for the Fall Conference), but there is something to be said about planning and setting everything in place. Take a look at our NEW FORMAT for the Spring Conference (in this newsletter) and all that you will get with your registration. We have been listening to teachers requesting that we not use up two days of subs and that we make the keynote speaker accessible to everyone. This years Spring Conference, February 21 -23, 2013 in Loveland will encompass several new things---Thursday evening sessions with a wine and cheese welcome reception, a Saturday general session to hear the keynote, and language immersion luncheons. We hope you will take advantage of all that is offered. Also note that you get a price break for registering early. All in all, it will be a great conference---great location, wonderful accommodations with breakfast included, lots of sessions (do not forget to submit your proposal to give a session!) and a chance to speak in the language and network with teachers from around the state. Hope to see you there!! CCFLT is working hard to provide you with the best training, speakers and camaraderie available. We encourage you to join us and take advantage of these great opportunities, and in turn, encourage a colleague by bringing them with you! See you soon!
