Definition of Green Buildings


A green building focuses on increasing the efficiency of resource use energy, water and materials while reducing building impact on human health and the environment during the building lifecycle through better sitting, design, construction and operation. Green buildings should be designed and operated to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on its surrounding

Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia

The Green Building Index Malaysia is a joint effort of PAM and ACEM which represent two neutral bodies in the certification and accreditation of green index. The GBI panel of PAM-ACEM has been working since 2008 in developing tools for non-residential and residential development.

GBI Malaysia was launched in April 2009 and to-date: 1first GBI certified building (LEO Building) 2Over 40 registered projects for green certification
