Nu Flow's Custom Liners Installed for Famous U.S. Theme Park

The completion of a custom lining job at a famous United States theme park is another prime example of why Nu Flow is the world leader in its industry. The challenging location of the leaking pipes below a gigantic pool, as well as the large diameters and elbow, revealed Nu Flows innovative technologies as the only feasible solution for the theme park. Nu Flows manufacturing facility produced a custom liner and elbow, which exceeds the normal range of pipe diameters we line, solely for this installation. The prestigious customer was pleased with our custom solutions and fast execution time. Project: Use Nu Main to rehabilitate leaking, underground drain lines, without excavating the large pool. Customer and Site: A famous U.S. theme park. System: Fiber glass drain lines for a large pool that holds more than a million gallons of water. The 12"-wide drain pipe collects water from the pools two drains, and then brings the water to the pump room for recirculation. The other pipe line consisted of a 20"-wide to 16"-wide vertical to horizontal transition elbow that leads to the pump room. These pipes are all located underneath the large pool, landscape, sidewalks and seating areas for theme park visitors. Problem: The fiber glass drain pipes, located beneath the pool, leaked so badly that the water build-up raised the pool 6. The theme parks engineers knew that a long-term solution must be applied as soon possible to prevent damage to the enormous pool. Circumvention: If the customer had chosen a traditional repipe instead of Nu Flows non-destructive technology, there would have been an excruciating amount of downtime, damage and costs, which would have impaired the ability for the theme park to operate normally. For a repipe to take place, the bottom of the pool would have to be opened via sawcut. Then, the dirty water from the leaked pipes would enter the pool, resulting in more time and money needed to clean the pool. Excavation of the pool could also cause structural damage to it, which the customer wanted to avoid. A traditional repipe was estimated to cost at least twice as much as Nu Flows non-destructive solution.

Solution: Nu Main was the ideal solution for the customer, saving the popular theme park significant money and downtime. Skilled Nu Flow technicians used existing access points to clean and line the 12"-, 16"- and 20"-wide, underground drain lines. Nu Flows manufacturing plant created the custom elbow, a 16"-diameter to 20"-diameter transition, specifically for this job. The leaking drain lines were lined with Nu Flows seamless and protective structural liner, which covers the breaches in pipe and will prevent future failures from occurring. This application was completed without damaging the large pool or surrounding areas within seven working days. The customer was very satisfied with Nu Flows prompt execution. Nu Flow, the only company that manufactures all of its own epoxies and liners, provided this theme park with the only feasible solution.
