POSTS

There are a great variety of posts for different working surfaces, e.g. boarding, walls, stairs, corners, etc. Every post acts as a main vertical support on to which the railing is positioned. This is done through studs located on the posts three anchorage plates.

systema

Edge protection systems Class A and Class B are used for the protection against fall from height on construction sites. This system has been tested in accordance with EN 13374 for both Class A and Class B. This protection system is made of UV- treated plastic and is resistant to harsh climatic situations. This system has very few components and can be easily installed. The assembly of the barrier and post elements of the protection system is simple. The railing mounts on the post anchorages with a single sharp movement. For dismounting from the studs, hit the inside of the railing with the help of a hammer in an upward movement.

G1- CONI POST. Product No.: B-7T1 To fix the post, it is inserted in a coni that is already embedded in the concrete. Distance between conis:151mm (min) - 162mm (max).

via textile straps. Easy and fast to assemble on the ground or on the faade, the protection fan can be raised easily to the slabs where needed, where it shall be used. An exclusive design makes it possible for protection fans to be retracted, thus facilitating the use of cranes for loads. The safety net can be combined with a net with smaller 20mm meshes, keeping small objects from falling. By doing so one creates a safe work environment above and also below the protection fans. There is also always the possibility of adding a tailor-made mosquito net. The use of either or both combined options let sunlight and artificial light through thus permitting its use in pedestrian passages. We have tested our system with an 80kg dummy from a 3m fall. We do not consider a fall of more than three meters, in difference to the norm EN 1263, allowing a fall of up to 6m, to be the norm. This test is done with a weight of 100kg from 7m.

systema safety protection fans with nets provide an effective system against falls, thus protecting pedestrians and workers alike of possible falls of people, working material or rubble. We have tested our system with a dummy of 80kg from 3m, as we do not consider a fall of more than three meters, in difference to the norm EN 1263, which allows a fall of up to 6m and the dynamic test is done with a weight of 100kg from 7m. A difference to other similar systems on the market is that our protection fan only consists of hinged brackets and safety nets. The joining on the structure is done

Systema Safety markets an innovative protecction system for the building industry, providing an easy to install safety solution.

systema
Net post Product No.: BA-2PS 1010100 This is the main component of the system. The arm angle is fixed by inserting the bolt in one of the six available positions.

systema
Steel Net Arm Product No.: BA-2PS 1010700 60 x 40 y 3000 mm profile. There is a U-bolt included at the end for net attachment. It is fixed to the extension arm or directly to the net post. Steel Safety Bolt Product No.: BA-2PS 1010600 For fixing the arms to net post and also to fix the arm angle.

Hinged Bracket

The main fixation of the system on the slab is done via a plastic base inserted into the fresh concrete. The element is disposable. This net support can be assembled by hand by any worker in less than a minute time. The set consists of a mobile arm from which nets can be attached to and placed at whatever distance from slab, preventing falls from slanted or flat slabs. Other products on the market take much longer to be assembled because they require a crane and the resulting net is usually 3 meters away from the slab thus not offering protection to either roofers nor workers. A crane is also needed for disassembly, another time-consuming action which can be rendered even more dangerous when nets react in a flag-like manner in windy weather conditions. On the other hand, our system can be assembled by hand or with a crane. Nets do not pose a threat in windy conditions as they are located within the structure.

Plastic base Product No.: BA-2ME 0010100 The plastic base is 60 x 40 y 170 mm and has to be inserted into the fresh concrete. This element is disposable.

Metal foot Product No.: BA-2PS 3010400 Metal foot of 60 x 40 y 150 mm. It is fixed to the slab by 4 M12 expanding anchors.

Extension Arm Product No.: BA-2PS 1010500 With a 60 x 40 x 3-profile, the extension arm has a length of 2000 mm. The measurements of the joinning area is 70 x 50 x 4 mm. It is to be fixed with 2 bolts to the net post and with 1 bolt to the steel net arm.

Gallow System with Nets EN 1263-1, System V

This system of collective protection with system V safety nets, originated in Spain where its use is widespread. It consists of gallows, gallows support, nets, and safety ropes EN 1263-1. The system is tested in AIDICO in accordance to the norm EN 1263:2004. It fullfills the requirements of this standard. The systema gallow support offers a complete and effective solution for the support of gallows and railings whereas other common methods do not offer adequate safety. The support can be recovered and is reusable. Elements are placed at a maximum distance of 5m and offer protection for people working on the construction site as well as against falling objects. Although gallows can protect up to a 6m fall, we recommend their use for falls of only one floor (approx.3m).

Safety Nets

systema
Type U Vertical closings System U: Nets used for vertical closings of buildings from slab to slab. EN 1263-1 U A2 M100 Q. These nets are fixed on the slab via metal loops with extensible rods. The nets to which you can add a complete mosquito net or only in the form of a toe board at the lower part (height 1m), constitutes a very interesting option for the protection of skyscrapers because of their high containment level and high wind resistance capacity. U type. Ref: R-21001A-RPPU

Formwork Nets Product No.: R3500

Type U A safety net bound to a supporting structure for vertical use. (Edge protection net). EN 1263-1 U A2 M100 Q and D. Nets used for vertical closings of buildings, from slab to slab. Ref.: R-2RPPU-A2M100Q

These are available in several different dimensions. Standard measure is 1x10m. It includes a 6mm border rope used as reinforcement for the attachment to props. Its use is possible in most of the formwork systems. The norm of EN 1263-1 does not include this type of nettting. As we speak, the Spanish work group AENICTN-081/SCIGT-6 - formed within AENOR - is analysing the minimum safety requirements and test methods for this type of netting. AENICTN describes the formwork net as a means of collective protection, limiting falls of workers to the lower level during the framework assembling process. It can be used when placing boards on the continous frameworks, as well as when there are only girders and rings.

systema

Safety Nets

System A: Disposables Disposable Nets: They are called disposable nets because once they are used, these nets are not recovered for later use. These nets are normally delivered in rolls. They can be installed in two ways: Placing the rolls over the framework structure, placing them over the boards, as the nets get ensnared between those boards and the crossbeams. Anchoring the net over the boards only when girders and rings are being formworked. Depending on the complexity and the chosen method, the net is assembled by crane extending the rolls over the formwork or unrolled by hand with some auxiliary element. During concreting, the net remains inside in some areas. For this reason the net is sometimes torn when uncasing. System B: Reusables Assembly of Reusable Nets: These nets can be installed at various times. Positive results can be obtained by using 1 or 1.2m wide net sections with lengths of 3, 5 or 10. These nets have a border rope and can be bound to the formwork structure via metal hooks (minimum 8mm diameter) tied to the formworks props at no more that 1m from the boards. Net sections and hooks can be placed from the ground without any additional tools. If the formwork is higher than average (3m) one should make use of ladders, wanchored scaffolds or any other means they may have at hand. Once the netted sections are in place, the workers may begin to climb the formwork structure so as to carry out their tasks.

Option 1: Expansion Block with Open Eyebolt Safety net attached to consoles for horizontal use (safey net barriers). EN-1263-1 T A2 M100 Q y D. Nets without rope edge attached to a metal bracket console which is attached to the structure, or to the barrier.

systema

Option 2: Temporary Textile Lifeline (EN-795 Class A1)

If you require further assistance, we can send you a supply of these products. Supplies such as rigging or other types of netting. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

A complete mosquito net can also be added to the vertical netting systems in order to avoid the falling of small objects. This second net can be assembled at the same height or only as a toe board at the lower part (height 1m).

P Series- Lifeline system with carabiner EN 795 Class C

This permanent horizontal lifeline system is composed of simple and easy-to-install elements at a low cost. It is possible to create a lifeline system with up to 14 meter gaps.

systema

Horizontal Lifeline Systems

This basic lifeline solution, which is based on the use of karabiner, fits perfectly in all those situations where price is the key factor or where the use of runners may be complicated. Due to the wide range of elements our system can be adapted to many different needs. This system can be fixed to the structure by different means: mechanical or chemical anchors, welding, counter plates, etc. Standard P- series systems do not include posts, so steel wire is located 50mm above surface level. The system can be mounted in combination with 400mm post. The passing of intermediate points or corners is done through a karabiner movement. This system is certified according to EN 795 Class C.

Steel wire rope set Includes steer wire rope, thimbles and all necessary small elementsfor the installation.

Shock absorber This device absorbes energy and reduces efforts applied to the whole system and to the structure in case of fall.

Tensioner This is located at the end of the steel wire and is responsible for the rope tension. User can easily check the correct tension of the lifeline.

HORIZONTAL LIFELINE SYSTEMS

Intermediate points, terminals and corners Depending on the structure, type of anchors (expanding or chemical), fall height, etc our technical department will be more than happy to make a proposal, including the necessary intermediate points and corners.

Horizontal Lifeline Systems

B series EN 795, CLASS C

This is an innovative system of permanent horizontal lifelines to be used on bridges, roofs, etc. The posts are made of steel and can allow the absorption of large amounts of energy when bending due to its unique design. Its installation is limited to those situations in which, after the fall, the wire can come to a lower level than where the system was installed so the posts can bend. This energy absorption method is compatible with most of the standard life line systems so you can use the B series in combination with most of our lifeline series. This has been certified in acordance to EN 795 Class C. Steel rope See P-series. Dinamic post This is a new system of energy absorption thanks to the combination of the post and the central soul that can decrease tension on the cable. It is made of 304 inox steel. The posts are located at the corners and at the ends. At intermediate points only a threaded rod is necessary. Several components of the A-series can be used together with the dynamic posts. In some cases it is necessary to reinforce the post at the corners or at the ends. Tensioner See P-series. Corredera CM See P-series.

For all civil works on slopes and similar situations.

systema

Earth Anchorage

Inserted at a depth of 1.50m, with the help of a spade, it constitutes an anchorage point fulfilling requirements of the norm EN 795 class A.1 with an even higher resistance of 2000 daN for the installation of class B and C life lines. We can provide resistance proofs certificates for the checking of the resistence of the device and the validity of its assembly. This is all in accordance to EN 795.

Installation When trying to find the perfect rock on which to use an anchoring system, select a rock with enough dimensions so it does not get moved around by all of the traction the anchoring process can cause. Reference strength: 2500daN. Select a heal area that does not have cracks, but can also receive the fixing at a distance not less than 1m from its edge. 1 Drill a 32 to 35 mm diameter and go at least 36 cm deep. 2 - Introduce a cylinder and a wedge so that the lower part of the drilled sheet of the cylinder is separated 40 cm from the upper surface of the rock. 3 - Hit the wedge with a hammer until having moved it 2cm. Check that the rock edges have not suffered deformations caused by wedge pressure, meaning that the rock has enough hardness and that the anchoring is correctly installed. If for any reason the rock installation shows any signs of weakness as a result of wedging, It is unsuitable to receive this anchoring. 4 - To disassemble the anchoring system, pound the cylinder in an upward direction with a hammer with a lot of force, this will release the anchoring pressure allowing its removal. Limitations 1 worker per device Only for rocks with enough dimensions and consistencies to maintain the anchoring system. Useful life: No usage limit exists as long as its kept in its minimum dimensions and in good condition.

Once the concrete gets hard and the formwork is removed, the anchorage can be inserted into the slot. Installation of plastic slot every 5 m (depending on the construction requirements), between pliars in order to cover all the falling risk areas and get 0 factor falling risk. A 15 cm separation to the edges must be respected (30 cm mass concrete). Advantages: The introduction into the structure is quick and easy because it is not required to have qualified workers and electricity. The anchorage points are versatile and flexible because they can be placed anywhere in the structure. The use of this solution saves money and time because of the reduced assembly time and the low product prices. The positioning of the anchorage and the structure happens simultaneously, thus no other jobs are delayed.

Installion of the slots prior concreting: 1. Install the disc using nails at the desired position. 2. Press the slot into the attached disc. In order to cover all of the falling risk areas it is advisable to intall a plastic slot about every 5 meters. (depending on the construction requirements). Leave approx. 15 cm of space to edges (30 cm if mass concrete). Attachment of the anchorage after the removal of the formwork: 1. Introduce the safety anchorage into the slot and fix it by compressing gently to twist the blades. 2. Insert hook or carabiner ( only 10mm carabiner) through the mounting hole of the anchorage and secure it. In order to remove the anchorage strip off the carabiner, twist the baldes and extract the anchorage.
