After looking at the results from the questionnaire I have learnt that: The majority of my target audience would like a front cover that resembles front cover A because it is clean and sharp, eye catching and they like the layout.

The bands that they would like to see featured on the front cover are: The xx Arctic Monkeys Coldplay Mumford & Sons Muse The Kooks The Killers The instruments and vocals are what attracts them to indie/rock music. My target audience would pay 2-3 for a music magazine. Half of my target audience buy music magazines like NME, Q and Kerrang! Because the content is good and it informs them about up and coming bands. They also like the posters and interviews inside the magazine. Half of my target audience said that they didnt read music magazines because they dont read/buy any magazines. Dates of upcoming gigs would encourage my target audience to buy music magazines. As well as free gifts and exclusive news and interviews. My target audience would prefer to have one image of a key artist/band on the front cover of my magazine rather than several images. They would dislike images of musical instruments/props on the front cover of the magazine. Some would like bright colours on the front cover of the magazine but some would dislike it.

Half of my target audience would like dark colours on the front cover of my magazine but half of my audience would dislike it. Bold text on the front cover would attract my target audience to my magazine. They would like to see gig guides, general information about the music scene and information about particular bands/artists in the content of the magazine. They would also like to upcoming events such as festivals. They would prefer an interview with an indie/rock artist/band as the main article in the magazine. They would dislike images of musical instruments/props in the article in the magazine. Some would like bright colours in the main article but some would dislike it. Some would like dark colours in the main article but some would dislike it. My target audience would also like to see photoshoot, previous gig images and natural photographs of the artist/band in articles of the music magazine.
