Intern- Recently completed a three month prescribed internship through the University of Arkansas. Designed,
implemented, and managed new instructional software integration into the existing English as a Second Language and English Language Learners (E.S.L/ E.L.L.) - U.S. Citizenship exam course curriculum.

Developed on-campus teaching assignments in vocational technology education: facilitated two introductory levelSocial networking courses to ESL/ELL adult learners and assisted with the instruction of beginning level computer courses to ESL/ELL students. In addition, co-teaching the beginner level ESL/ELL courses and assisted with English as a Second Language /English Language Learners (E.S.L/ E.L.L.) Conversational Partners, in-class tutor. Moreover, assisted with U.S. Citizenship Exam mock interviews and completed one-on-one U.S. Citizenship exam tutoring. Educational Consultant- Implemented instructional strategies that contributed to a positive learning environment
where students were actively engaged in a meaningful learning experience. Consulted and collaborated with students and parents to enhance the instructional environment. Maintained effective and efficient recording keeping procedures and completed and submitted all required paperwork by the assigned deadlines. Demonstrated gains in student performance: Sutton Elementary students (Fort Smith, Ar) averaged 46% on their preassessment but after they completed the program their post assessment scores averaged 92%.

Volunteer ESL Teacher- Prepared appropriate materials for ESL courses, which set realistic goals for each
student. Facilitated under minimal supervision and guidance of the literacy council director, prepared and taught one90-minute class twice the week. (Tuesday & Thursdays) Developed and administered class assessments such as worksheets, implemented technology using free website resources such as USA Learns to reinforce the ESL students reading, writing, and spoken English skills. Ensured my teaching and interactions at the Literacy Council of Western Arkansas were culturally sensitive. I understood the diverse culture of my students and motivated them to keep their traditional culture during their acquisition of learning the English language.
