Aim and Objective of the course:


Intellectual Property refers to the fruits or product of human creativity, including literature, advertising slogans, songs or new inventions. Thus, property that is the results of thought, namely intellectual activity, is called intellectual property. In todays dynamic and knowledge based industrial environment, intellectual property rights (IPRs) are key elements needed to maintain the competitive edge of any industry. IPRs impart success to the business enterprises by creating and preserving exclusive markets. The cost of research and development (R &D) in developing new products and processes is very high and is rising. Hence, there is a need to increase and accelerate the extent of protection of IPR s so that the return on investment is reasonable.
