If y ou don't have Word 97/98, you can download the free MS Word Viewer 97 for Window s95/98/NT from "http://www.microsoft.com/word/internet/viewer/viewer97/default.htm".) SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Windows95/98/NT. Microsoft Plus! or corresponding theme application. Video card capable of at least 256 color mode, 640x480 resolution. However, the theme loo s best in 1024x768 or 800x600 screen resolution in high color or true colo r mode. IMPORTANT! In order to combine high quality with reasonable filesize, the sound files in this theme are compressed in MPEG Layer-3 format. If you want to use them, you'll need to install "Microsoft NetShow". You can download this free software from "http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/netshow20/05000.htm". INSTALLATION Run "The Solar System setup.exe". You will be prompted to unzip all files into t he standard theme directory C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\. If this is not your theme direct ory, then just type in the correct directory before unzipping. The theme is designed to exclusively use the "Bisque" font. To install this font , place the file "bisque.TTF" in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\. To install the startup/shutdown screens, run the batch file "Logo install.bat". This file will simply overwrite your current logo screens. If you want to eep them for la ter use you should create bac up copies. The files in question are: C:\Logo.sys C:\WINDOWS\Logos.sys C:\WINDOWS\Logow.sys TROUBLESHOOTING Some people experience problems with MPEG Layer-3 format sound files. The newer version of

NetShow (MediaPlayer) doesn't seem to install the MPEG Layer-3 codec to function properly for all applications. If this is the case you can download the older NetShow v2. 0 pac age, available at "http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/netshow20/05000.htm". If you w ish to apply a newer player later on, just install the newer version on top of NetShow v2.0. As an alternative, you can also download a small (233 ) MPEG Layer-3 Codec insta ller at "http://www.thethemedoctor.com/sounds/l3codecp.zip". This software has been thor oughly tested on several system configurations. However, since this codec installer doe sn't produce the same sound quality as NetShow, this alternative should be considered only by those who experience insurmountable problems with NetShow. To install NetShow 2.0 in Windows 98, you don't need to download anything. Ma e sure your Windows98 CD is nearby and: (1) Clic Start, point to Settings, clic Control Pa nel, and double-clic on Add/Remove Programs; (2) Clic the Windows Setup tab, clic Mult imedia, and then clic Details; (3) Select the Audio Compression chec box and the Microsoft NetShow Player 2.0 chec box; (4) Clic the Apply button, and then follow the instructio ns that appear on your screen.
