60-Port Channelized T1/E1 Circuit Emulation Module for the CBX 500 and CBX 3500 Multiservice Switches

The 60-port channelized T1/E1 Circuit Emulation (CE) module for the CBX 500 and CBX 3500 switches enable you to reduce costs by carrying private line/TDM services over your existing ATM-based multiservice network. With this module, the switches convert traffic from TDM circuits into ATM cells, route those cells across a bandwidth-efficient ATM network, and reassemble them into TDM at the other end. With the industrys highest T1/E1 port density, this module allows you to support more customers.

Applications
Provide CE Services (Private/Leased Line) Replace digital cross-connect system (DCS) Transport for time-delay-sensitive traffic, such as video and voice Transport for legacy TDM traffic Consolidate multiple access lines

Features
Provides structured and unstructured services Supports Permanent Virtual Circuits (PVCs) and Soft Permanent VCs (SPVCs) Supports both T1 and E1 on the same interface via easily configured software options Industry-leading T1/E1 port density supports 60 T1(60x24 DS0) or 60 E1(60x30 DS0) ports per slot End-to-end point and click provisioning Proven carrier-class reliability of the CBX 500 and CBX 3500 switches Channel Associated Signaling (CAS) and Common Channel Signaling (CCS) pass through signaling Hot swappable

Benefits
Generate immediate incremental revenue by using existing switch slots Save costs by transporting telephony and data services over your existing ATM-based multiservice network Free capacity to support more customers on the same system Realize operating efficiencies with Navis network management system by quickly turning up new circuits Enable customization of bandwidth at customer convenience with channelization
