Polygons...Perimeter... Area... Properties... (Practice Questions)

A regular quadrilateral has a perimeter of 34 m... what is its area?

A regular quadrilateral is a square... all 4 sides are the same...so 34 4 = 8.5 and this is the measure of 1 side... then the area would be 8.5 x 8.5 = 72.25 cm2

A square has a side that measures 12 ft. A rectangle has a length that measures 8 ft. They have the same area. What is the width of the rectangle?
Since the square has the same area as the rectangle... 2 and the Square's Area is 12 x 12 = 144 ft ... Then what # times 8 gives you 144... so 144 8 = 18

A regular quadrilateral has an area of 49 mm2... what is its perimeter?
Since the square has an area of 49 mm2... and I know to find the area I multiple its side measure by itself... What # times its self makes 49?????

36 m What is the perimeter? ____________ (Show work!)

(6 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 4 + 5 + 5 + 1 + 6 + 7 = 36 m)
