Brief Histoy of Seervi Samaj There are many stories behind the organization and about the existence

of seervi (Khardia) Rajputs. It is also said that this community had shiffed its base or its work due to war-ridden phase many times. One school of thought says that the "seervi" (Khardiya) caste is a warrior race. originated from Rajput (Kshatiya) Community from Junagarh in Gujarat. During the 12th cebtury, there were many fierce battles took place between them and the king of Grinner in which many lives were lost. The remaining warriors gave-up their arms and migrated to Jalore in Rajputana sector. As they came from "Khari-Khabar" region of Gujrat. They were later called as Kharadia Rajputs. Actualy! "Seervi" menas partener. After migration, This Rajput community started farming with the partnership of local farmers and the permission of king "kahanar Dev" as a profession along with a condition to deposited 9th part of their production in the king's treasury that is why this community had been named as "Seervi kharadia". The king rehabilitated them in 24 different villages of Jalore which actualy became theire "Gotras". These village are : - Kudania Khera , Gokhar Khera, Bithu Khera, Khegadia Khera, Padarala Khera, Kurjadia Khera, Thumbdia Khera, Usdada Khera, Ukarla Khera, Akora Khera, Narvar Khera, Jaithpura Khera, Mandla Khera, veethla Khera, Jogani Khera, Lambia Khera, Hingola Khera, Kerala Khera, Manpura Khera, Nagwali Khera, Letnora Khera, Babodra Khera, Mulora Khera, Akanra Thumb. One historian, namely Munshi Devi Prashad, in his 1891 report "Mardamshumari Marwar" says that Kharadia Rajputa were the actual rulers of Jalore and because of Khari region they were called Kharadia Rajput. This Rajput community has 24 Gotras. The king Kahanar Dev was one of them and was a Chauhan Rajput. These 24 are : Rathore, Solanki, Gahalot, Panwar, Kag, Barfa, Devra, Choyal, Bhayal, Sencha, Aglecha, Parihar, Hambar, Sindhra, Chauhan, Khandala, Sanpura, Mogrecha, Pariharia, Lecheta, Bhumbhari, Chavandia, Muleva, Septa. When "Allaha-Udin Khilji" attacked Jalore, king Kahanar Dev fought bravely but due to lake of sophisticated weapons and less army He was defeated by him. Again remaining Rajputs shifted to other places like Pali and Jodhpur where

the facilities to cultivate were available near luni river. Basicly, Seervis were honest and a hard working people, that is why they got respect and help from the people where they try to establish themselves. Later, Seervis became the followers of "JIJI" who launched a cult of "Aie Panth" during Vikrimi Samvat 1472, reached Godwad and Marwar region and gave a thread with 11 knots (Symbolized as the 11th Ruls) as "Deeksha" to them. She appointed "Goyn das" grant son Seervi Ganauji Rathore her first "Deewan" during Vikrimi Samvat 1521. Broadly, Seervis are the followers of "Aie Panth", Thul Panth and Sencha-Bhagat. The Aie Panth followers Tie the thread with 11 knots in theire hand and buried after the death, where as the followers of thul Panth do not tie the thread and buried their dead after the death. Hower, Sencha Bhagat follows both the rules of the along with their own system. Seervis were honest and a hard working people, that is why they got respect and help from the people where they try to establish themselves.
