Be Like Christ (Philippians 2:1-18, NASB)

2 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 For this reason also, Godhighly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. 14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain. 17 But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all. 18 You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

Mission: To glorify Gods name by leading the singles congregation to worship, spreading his love to people through songs and by raising up musicians who will train, disciple, and influence other musicians with the same passion and purpose Vision: To see thousand of singles worshiping God as a response to who he is, what he has done and what he will do. And to see multiple worship teams committed to playing for Gods glory and hungry to reach out to people.

Roles And Responsibilities

Praise and Worship Ministry Head
Oversees the whole ministry and regularly aligns the team to its mission and vision Monitors the overall system and processes establish within the team Responsible to air out concerns in the ministry to the B1G South core team or CCF Ensures proper training and transitioning is in place for all members Responsibility to ensure all B1G South services and events are covered by the worship team Coordinates with CCF music heads (Bernie Duran/Boy Inosa) for training when needed

Roles And Responsibilities

Band Leader
Arrange the schedule of the band for Singles Connect. Music sheet accountability(people in charge of procuring and returning sheets) Assigning of people to do devotions every Saturday Assigning of a prayer warrior within the band. (1 person to dedicate time to pray for the whole B1G Music Ministry) Time compliance (sound check, rehearsal and devotion) Get the song lineup from the worship leader. Arrange the schedule of the singers for Singles Connect. Work with the ministry coordinator for the lineup of singers. Coordinate with the band leader on the availability of music sheets and the line-up. Have a list or be familiar with singer's voice designation when forming lineups. Check the availability of SATBs. Schedules person in-charge of preparing the PowerPoint slides.

Band/Singer Training Lead
Organize, Schedule and Conduct Training and Practices. Create venues for the team's enhancement and efficacy in their God-given talents. Coordinate with concerned members regarding schedules, line-ups, song changes and transpositions. Help the team help each other in realizing their potential as servants of our God through music. Create future trainers in everyone in the team. Continue to develop myself in Mind, Heart and Body. Ensures musical pieces are in place during rehearsals Coordinates food for the band Helps Singer Coordinator with PowerPoint slides for the worship Communicates ministry updates, announcements, etc.

B1G Connect
Release of schedule for singers and band will be done every last Saturday of the month Submission of lineup from the worship leader should be at least a week earlier. Preferably Monday, two weeks from his/her schedule. Musical sheets to be checked on a Monday if they are available. Inform the ministry head, band/singers lead and ministry coordinator 3 days before schedule if you won't be able to serve on the assigned date. The singers lead/ministry coordinator will decide who will replace you.
Failure to comply:

PowerPoint files to be prepared before Saturday - if possible Check the availability of SATBs. Band Training for B1G Connect Line-up will be every Wednesday 7pm Singer team will be in-charge of PowerPoint while band team will be in-charge of mixing the sound Rehearsal schedule:

Ground Rules (Part 1)

NO practice, NO singing and playing. Know your priorities. Dgroup and GLC must come first unless we badly need singers. Be on time. Preferably 15 minutes before the exact schedule Member who will be late or will not be able to sing/play due to unforeseen circumstance should inform the band/singer coordinator and ministry head. Every member scheduled to play or sing should stay in for the B1G connect service Know your role, part and the song. Everyone is expected to be prepared during rehearsal Minimize discussions and noise during the rehearsal Take care of your instrument. Return instruments to music room after playing.

Ground Rules (Part 2)

A devotion is required every rehearsal Pray before and after rehearsal Prepare your heart. You sing ONLY for the glory of God. Everyone scheduled to play or sing should participate in the sound check. When on stage, never communicate to whoever is off stage Example: Tech team Do not ask them to adjust the volume or whatsoever of your microphone. Wear DECENT clothes. We do not want people staring at us during service. No shorts. No mini skirts. No sleeveless. Smile.

Other Guidelines
Show respect to your leaders, teammates, and others (esp. during practice) Practice the songs at home. Memorize the lyrics. Familiarize yourself with the songs before practice. Asking questions and collaborating with the other team members regarding special stuff is highly encouraged (e.g. version of the song/singer etc.) Mentoring each other (sharing what we know) should be a core value within the team Be technically sensitive and considerate to your teammates when singing. Always carry a humble heart when whether you are being taught or being praised.
