Slocum Management Consultancy Private Limited Company is a subsidiary company of HCL Corporation Private Limited (Promoters of HCL Group) created with a vision to provide assured jobs through transformational training programs like Young Engineers Program [YEP].

YOUNG ENGINEERS PROGRAM [YEP] is a unique job assured residential training program designed to transform students into highly sought after professionals, through industry customized training using state of the art infrastructure and conducted by experienced trainers with real time project experience. YEP is a 9 month full time residential program which will be conducted at Plot No. CP 3, Sector 8 Technopark, IMT Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana 122051. On successful completion of the YEP program and meeting out the minimum criteria specified by the Slocum and IT Companies, students will be absorbed as Associate Graduate Engineer Traineein Slocum with a probation period of 15 months. On confirmation of probation, they will become Associate Graduate Engineer. Slocum will depute Associate Graduate Engineers at various Fortune 500 IT companies on project basis.

On successful completion of the course students would be absorbed as an Associate Graduate Engineer Trainee in Slocum with a gross salary of INR 2.0 lacs per year with a probation period of 15 months. On successful completion of probation period students will be given a new designation of Associate Graduate Engineer and salaries will be revised as per existing industry standards.

Common Technical Training
In a competitive work environment you have to demonstrate the capabilities of an efficient and smart worker. Certain workplace essentials are considered inherent attributes of todays worker such as knowledge on hardware, operating systems and network fundamentals. This course provides training to students covering basic foundation training on: y UNIX y WINDOWS y LINUX y SOLARIS y ORACLE & SQL.

Solaris
The course discusses the various aspects of Solaris training which is specifically designed for associate trainees to become a competent resource. Candidates will learn system administration tasked with performing essential system administration procedures on the Solaris Operating System. The following is a sample of an exhaustive curriculum that students will undergo during the training y ZFS y Solaris virtualization y Volume Management (SVM and VxVM) y Hands Free Installation y Advance patch and package management y Backup, domains and high availability (VCS)

Technical Training: As a part of technical training track specific in-depth training would be
provided on Windows, Networking, Linux and Solaris.

Networking
An ideal Associate Engineer Training is incomplete without the thorough knowledge of data networking. The curriculum starts with one month foundation training followed by track specific technical training on Windows, UNIX and Networks combined with professional & business skills and supplemented through on the job training. OJT is a Learn & Earn period; hence student will have access to companies production environment, live case studies. The students will be assigned to a mentor who will monitor individual performance during the OJT period and will provide feedback on his/her performance. The students performance during OJT will be reviewed constantly through monthly assessments. The students will be required to clear the final OJT assessment upon completion of 3 months to become eligible for employment.

Course fee for 9 month training program is INR 2 lacs. Residential fee for 9 months is INR 48,000 (includes transportation charges). Total fee for entire 9 months training program is INR 2.48 Lacs.

The training program involves the students to access online learning contents, e-learning tools and do online assessments thus making it mandatory for students to carry their own laptops. The probation period while working with Slocum is 15 months. Students are also required to sign a bond/ service agreement of 18 months with Slocum Management Consultancy Private Limited at the time of enrollment for the course which will be effective starting successful completion of the training program and employment as Associate Graduate Engineer Trainee.
