What is Welding
Welding is an operation to join two parts together homogeneously. In this process high current is passed through the Welding Electrode and Work piece. This high current melts both the work piece and /or welding electrode and the molten metal is poured in the weld joint ie similar to Casting Process In any construction or Fabrication industry welding operation plays a vital role and often the product quality is determined by welding Quality. The welding operation and inspection of welding is a complex in nature due to many process variables involved in Welding. Hence the welding is often termed as "Special Process" which requires to be qualified and established. Basically, the Welding Quality is determined by the Welder and Welding Inspector. It is also important that these personnel are properly Trained, Qualified and certified in their respective discipline. There are many welding process but not limited to: Manual metal arc welding TIG Welding MIG/MAG Welding Plasma Welding

What is Non-Destructive Testing ( NDT)
NDT is an examination process to examine the Quality of Materials such as Welding, Forging, Casting etc Non-Destructive examination is inspecting the part without damaging the part or destroying the part. So, after NDT, the part can be used for intended application There are many Methods available but not limited to: Radiography test (RT) In RT, the X-rays are passed through the object and filmed similar to our medical X-ray

What is Non-Destructive Testing ( NDT)

Ultrasonic Test (UT) In UT, The High Frequency sound waves are passed through the object and received. The time duration of sound waves is analysed and projected in the screen. This is similar to medical ultrasound Scanning.
