JBL launches AW & AW Compact all-weather series

JBL Professional has introduced the AWC Series of compact, all-weather loudspeaker systems, bringing world-class sound quality and high sound level capability to outdoor applications. The AWC All Weather Compact models incorporate co-axial drivers for high output, consistent pattern control, extraordinary clarity with speech, and extended frequency response for music, all from very compact enclosures. The AW full-size models are comprised of the JBL Differential Driver dual voice coils and dual magnetic gap low frequency woofers. Crown introduces DriveCore Install series power amplifiers: the new standard for installed sound
Crown Audio has announced the introduction of DriveCore Install (DCi) Series power amplifiers. Successor to the companys acclaimed CTs Series, the new DCi stereo and multichannel amplifiers incorporate a host of improvements including HARMANs exclusive DriveCore technology to set new standards in reliability, sound quality, flexibility and efficiency.
At the heart of the DCi Series is the proprietary DriveCore amplifier IC chip, which combines the amplifier driver stage into the power output stage along with additional audio-signal functions, yet is about the size of a postage stamp, dramatically reducing size and power consumption requirements. The DCi Series comprises of twelve models ranging from 300 watts to 600 watts (into 4 and 8 ohms and 70Vrms and 100Vrms) with 2, 4 or 8 channels per amplifier. The DCi Network models include network monitoring and control over Ethernet, BLU-Link digital audio transport, GPIO and digital signal processing. DCi Analogue amplifiers integrate into control and monitoring systems over Ethernet. Crown DCi Series amplifiers are built for the most demanding conditions of continuous professional use and carry a 3-year, no-fault fully transferrable warranty.

Control Soundweb from iOS

Remote control of HiQNet-compatible devices - including BSS Soundweb and dbx ZonePro - by an Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch is now possible with Harmans Motion Control app. Custom control panels can be created in System Architect, using the included templates, and any number of control panels can be loaded onto an iOS device. CS3 Discussion System For Smaller Rooms

Following on from the success of AKGs high-end CS5 conference system, the company has addressed the demand for a more simple solution by introducing the CS3, a plug-and-play, easy-to-use professional discussion system for smaller applications. Consisting of three core components the CS3 BU base station which provides connections to PA, recording devices, external audio sources and camera control systems, CS3 CU chairman station with options to mute all other delegates and activate the next in line feature, and the CS3 DU Delegate units - systems of up to 120 units can be created with ease. Both stations provide a built-in speaker and two 3.5mm stereo jacks for headphones. Harman showcases IDX JBL CWT provides extremely paging and information delivery system wide-angle coverage
JBLs CWT128 features CWT Crossfired Waveguide Technology, designed to provide seamless horizontal coverage across a full 160 degrees.
HARMAN Professional, in partnership with paging and information display specialist Com-Net Software, has been showcasing its IDX Information Delivery System, a turnkey hardware and software solution that delivers paging, audio and video for professional applications. The IDX Information Delivery System employs proprietary HARMAN and ComNet technologies to offer great-sounding, highly reliable audio networks and digital signage software platforms that can be scaled to any installation requirement, from a single retail outlet to an international airport.

JBL Professional has revealed its CWT Crossfired Waveguide Technology, an all-new design that delivers a full 160 degree wide angle coverage pattern. The CWTs compact size and footprint takes up about a third of the footprint of two speakers arranged side by side. Because one speaker can be used instead of two, installation costs can be lowered by reducing the number of cabinets, cabling, labour and other costs.

The first model in the series is the CWT128 which employs two of JBLs proven 2408H-1 compression drivers, renowned for their high-power-handling and smooth response. A pair of 8-inch JBL SFG low-frequency drivers each features a copper-clad aluminum edge-wound 2.5-inch voice coil and copper-clad pole piece that improve performance by reducing voice coil inductance and distortion for smoother response, extended bass and extremely low distortion.
A sample IDX 100 network, with components connected in a system which offers 1:1 amplifier failover. Systems can also be designed using 8:1 amplifier failover or without backup amplifiers.

IDX integrates HARMANs HiQnet control and connectivity protocol with software based on Com-Nets ECLIPSX Flight Information Display System. AKG introduces revamped automatic mixers

AKG has announced two new digital automatic microphone mixers. The DMM12 and DMM6 use a highly sophisticated algorithm to eliminate background noise while keeping the number of open microphones to a minimum. DMM12 offers 12 mic/line inputs, two stereo line outputs which are individually assignable for each input, stereo record outputs while the headphone out port allows users to listen to each input and output individually. BSS adds Soundweb AVB and Dante options

BSS Audio has introduced AVB and Audinate Dante functionality to its acclaimed Soundweb London family of digital signal processors with the addition of four Soundweb London products.

The new Soundweb London BLU-805 and BLU-325 devices are AVB versions of the BLU-800 and BLU-320 CobraNet siblings from which they are derived, while the BLU-806 and BLU-326 add 64 incoming and outgoing Dante channels.
