Background Aceh is a province consisting of several tribes, with each tribe or group has different habits so they are a cultural and ethnic characteristics particular, among the tribes occurred harmonious relations or conflict, even conflict often occurs between the tribes, I mean here is Aceh besar society and Pidie people. Conflicts often we hear and often a conflict between the Aceh besar society with Pidie people as immigrants, the conflict is emphasized in the labeling that is created or stereotypes against Pidie people that people was stingy. Basically, Pidie people who come and live in Aceh Besar are people who intend to seek work and also has a high trade soul, so when they living and settled in Aceh Besar regency, they keep doing the trading activity that is ingrained. In the task of this paper, I will discuss about the stereotypes against Pidie. How Aceh besar society view against pidie people. This article also contains about understanding stereotypes and stereotyping causes of those among the Aceh Besar society and expected to provide the information and understanding of the true and better to us all about Pidie people that will help us build social harmony in the life of the nation that has a pluralistic society 2.1.Definition of stereotype Stereotypes are generalizations impression we have of a person or a group of primarily psychological character or personality traits. There is also the stereotype defines as "giving certain properties to a person or group of people based on categories that are subjective, just because it comes from a particular group can be positive or negatif. There anyway who identify with stereotypical prejudices by defining stereotypes as" an opinion or prejudice the people of a particular group, in which the opinion is based solely on that people are included in that particular group "(www.wikipedia.com). Stereotypes are based on the interpretation of our results on the basis of viewpoint and background of our culture. Stereotypes also generated from our communication with other parties, not from the source. Therefore our interpretation may be wrong, based on the fact that false or without basis in fact. The stereotype is a generalization of the group to people in the group. Generalizations

about a group may indeed explain or according to many individuals in the group. Some key points from the above definition of stereotypes such as assessments are subjective and can be either positive or negative impression. Although more likely to be negative, stereotypes sometimes have a fairly high degree of truth, but it is often not based at all. Basing on stereotypes can be misleading. Anyway stereotypes usually appears in people who do not truly know another person or group. If we become familiar with the relevant group stereotypes on person / group will usually disappear. That is because stereotypes affect the way we feel, and we remember with respect to those of other groups. Individuals tend to simply equate the behavior of individuals of other groups as equally typical. 2.2.Causes of stereotypes Confidence of a society against certain groups generally called stereotypes and not a few people then made to isolate another group stereotypes, emergence of stereotypes in the middle of Aceh besar society I think cause of several reasons, namely: a.Stereotype passed down from generation to generation Stereotype is transmitted from generation to generation or from another to one another. This may happen through oral traditions. It may be transmitted through everyday conversation, through interaction between the older and the younger,or between parent to her children. d. The Dutch-sheep tactical fights among Acehnese themselves Aceh war against the Netherlands for some time, the Dutch were overwhelmed crushed the resistance of the people of Aceh have tried various tactics. In addition to the force of arms, the Dutch-sheep tactical fights among Acehnese themselves, special among the people of Aceh besar and Pidie pople, which ended with the murder of teungku chiek Di tiro from Pidie, this causing disunity and hatred prolonged up until now. c.The competition going on between the people of Aceh besar and Pidie people as immigrant to seize the opportunity to process the natural resources that exist in Aceh Besar. 2.3.The Traits And Characteristics Of Pidie People

Pidie, officially the regency of pidie or long time ago known as Pedir, during the conflict, the area is known as vulnerable areas by the Indonesian government, because it is the basis of supporting the rebellion DI TII and GAM, however, many people forget that fact Pidie also known as accomplished traders and businessmen. Pidie people likes to wander, wander is the tradition, basically not just a symbol of independence and maturity, but also the drive to succeed, business networking and recognition of the existence of identity. Therefore wandered is the Pidie tradition, many people who call them by the term Te Black Cinese. This probably refers to accomplishment that they matched the success on economy and trade as well as their work ethic is similar to the Chinese people that are industrious, hard working, honest, loyal and reliable. Pidie people is widely known as a successful overseas, not only as a trader or businessman but also as a politician who gets an important position in the government bureaucracy. People argues that Pidie people was diligent saving even tend to be stingy like the Chinese because they want to invest in the future. So then developed the term kriet lagee awak Pidie or stingy like Pidie people. 2.4.My Experience I was born and raised in Pidie but I finished my last 6 year of formal education in Indrapuri, after graduating from elementary school I continue my junior high shcool to Indrapuri, at my first years there I had a lot of ridicule and abuse from classmates and both of my brothers class almost every day I suffered ridicule like Pidie Krit, Pidie prak that what ever it means, every day there are people who took a fight ,I think they really do not like me and so hates me, after a few years they still taunt me with words Pidie krit but with different expression, they are no longer showing expression of hatred like when I first came, I think not everyone in aceh besar society concider Pidie people were stingy, perhaps because of his lack of knowledge or never associate with Pidie people so they regard everyone Pidie were stingy. 3.1.The Conclusion Based on the above discussion, it can be concluded that the stereotype is to generalize about people based on little information and forming assumptions people based on their membership in a group. It could also be defined as an assessment of a person based solely on the

perception of the group in which people can be categorized. In other words, stereotyping is the process of putting people into categories, or judgments about people or objects based on the appropriate categories rather than based on their individual characteristics. Actually stereotype is an opinion that can be withdrawn without an accurate picture, because our view of the object more adapted to our background so he went on a gaffe. We must realize that every individual is born with unique characteristics that do not need to be equated with other individuals especially the Based on discussion, feedback or suggestions that the authors could give is that do not judge someone just from a culture or group to which it belongs, but the judge a person from the individual, regardless of frills group. Since generalizing only to plunge us on assumption or a wrong and mistaken. In addition, increasing personal relationships with people from cultures, and different groups may be the best way to break the stereotype that only based on assumptions and so on.
