Workshop - Project Design

During next session you will have the opportunity to design your projects using BSN quality frame. You may work individually or in groups. Build your project Concept Note by answering briefly questions below using words, sentences and paragraphs from your Project Environment folder and Background document. Write in bullet points as much as possible. There is a possibility that well evaluate this document during the last workshop, therefore please write as clearly as possible to facilitate your projects concept assessment. Most questions are focused on the Scientific and/or technical quality of your proposal that will be gradually expanded throughout following workshops for building your projects concept. Explain the concept of your project. What are the main ideas that led you to propose this work? Innovative character of your project in relation to the state-of-the art; Describe the state-of-the-art in the area concerned, and the advance that the proposed project would bring about. Briefly describe the technical limitations of existing products /processes/services and include comments on competing techniques. Contribution to advancement of knowledge / technological progress; Describe in detail the S&T objectives. Show how they relate to the topics addressed by thecall, which you should explicitly identify. The objectives should be those achievable within the project, not through subsequent development. They should be stated in a measurableand verifiable form, including through the milestones. Describe how the proposed project addresses the needs of the participating SMEs to carryout demonstration activities and will bridge the gap between research and market. Prove that the RTD results subject to the demonstration activity are ready and suitable for exploitation. Make sure to make a clear link to: the previous project in terms of technology, objectives and results; the previous FP7 project to which the SMEs participated; A summary of the work plan should be presented, broken down into work packages (WPs) which should follow the logical phases of the implementation of the project. Describe the overall strategy of the work plan and address the main groups of activities in order to achieve the project's objectives.
