SUNROOF WIND DEFLECTOR

REMOVAL
(1) Open sunroof glass panel. (2) Push down one corner of the wind deflector and let the other corner rise up (Fig. 2). (3) Push the low corner towards the opposite side of the vehicle until tab on sunshade clears the body. Then raise the corner up. (4) Repeat the procedure to the other corner. (5) Lift wind deflector to 90% of the way. (6) Push the attaching ends of the deflector to the rear of the vehicle to disengage the deflector.
SUNROOF GLASS PANEL

REMOVAL
(1) Slide sunshade rearward to the open position. (2) Move the glass panel to the fully closed position. (3) Remove t he four att aching screws (Fig. 3). (4) Lift off glass pan el an d r emove from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Sunroof glass must be set in place and attached as close as possible to flush with the roof surface. For wind noise reasons, care must be taken to ensure that the glass is not remounted either a) Overflush to the roof surface at the front edge of the glass, or b) Underflush to the roof surface at the rear edge of the glass.
(1) Position glass pan el in t o opening. (2) Start the four attaching screws. (3) Tighten screws. (4) Verify su nr oof operat ion an d alignm ent. Check fi t a n d a d ju s t a s n e ce ss a r y, r e fe r t o S u n r oof Gla s s Panel Adjustment for proper procedures.
INSTALLATION
(1) Place wind deflector a t 90% in th e vertical position to the sunroof. With the sunroof open. (2) Push ends of the deflector towards the front of the vehicle to engage ends. (3) Lower wind deflector to normal position. (4 ) P u s h on e cor n e r t o t h e op p os it e s id e of t h e vehicle until tab clears vehicle body and lower deflector for that corner. (5 ) P u sh t h e s id e t h a t w as ju s t in s ta lled com pletely down. (6) Push the opposite corner cross vehicle until tab clears the body. Then lower deflector to position. (7) Test sun roof operation.

REMOVAL
(1) Remove the headliner to access clamps atta ching drain tube to sunroof (Fig. 4).

(2) Disengage clamps attaching drain tube to sunroof. (3) Tape the end of the old drain tube to the new d r a i n t u b e . E n s u r e t h a t t h e t a p e b u i ld u p on t h e t u b e ends is not excessive. (4) Remove front/rear trim panels as necessary to disengage clamps securing drain tube to body. (5) Remove the dr ain t ube plug from the underside of the vehicle. (6 ) F r om t h e u n d e r s id e of t h e v eh i cl e ca r e fu l ly, p u ll /r ou t e t h e d r a in t u b e t h r ou g h t h e b od y p a n el. Applying a soapy water solution to the new t ube ma y aid in this procedure.

REMOVAL
(1) Move the glass panel to the fully closed position. (2 ) Re m ove A-p illa r t r im , s u n v is or s , a n d m a p lamp/mini console. (3) Lower h eadliner as necessary to gain access to the sunroof express module. (4 ) Dis con n e ct t h e e xp r e ss m od u le wir e h a r n e s s connectors. (5) Remove express m odule screw. (6 ) R e m ov e e xp r e ss m od u le fr om t h e k e ywa y b y sliding module towards the center of th e vehicle.

(1 ) I n s t a ll t h e p lu g a d a pt e r t o t h e b ot t om of t h e d r a i n t u b e. (2 ) E n ga ge cla m p s s ecu r in g d r a in t u b e t o b od y (Fig. 4). (3) Install front/rear trim panels as necessary. (4) Install drain tube to sun roof and engage clamp. (5) Install the headliner.

SUNROOF DRIVE MOTOR

REMOVAL
NOTE: The sunroof system is timed from the factory so that the motor shuts off automatically when the sunroof window reaches a certain position. Extreme care must be taken when removing the motor, timing may be thrown off causing possible damage to the sunroof system. Anytime the motor is removed from the sunroof assembly the sunroof glass panel must be in the FULLY CLOSED POSITION or the unit will be out of timing. The drive motor cannot be reset to the park position after being removed. CAUTION: The sunroof motor should only be powered through the vehicle battery and sunroof wire harness. Applying power to the sunroof motor leads will cause failure of the control module.
(1) Move glass panel to the fully closed position. (2) Remove A,B,C, and D-pillar trim, sun visors, and map lamps/mini console. (3) Disconn ect the control switch wire connector. NOTE: A gage comes with the new motor.
(1) If the glass panel was not in the fully closed position, when the m otor was removed, the su nroof glass panel needs to be timed, before the new motor is installed. (2) Remove su nroof glass pan el. (3) S et g ag e i n t o t h e t r ack n ear t h e r ear o f t h e o p en ing between the driver slide and the bracket (Fig. 6). (4 ) Move t h e d r ive r s lid e for w a r d or a ft t o ge t proper setting. (5) Repeat the operation on the other side. (6) Insta ll drive motor.

(2) Place drive motor into position on the sunroof housing and install fasteners. (3) Connect express module, drive motor, and control switch wire connectors. (4) Set headliner into position. (5) Test sunroof operation, adjust as necessary. (6) Finish installing the headliner. (7) Conn ect the control switch wire conn ector. (8 ) I n s t a l l A,B , C , a n d D-p il la r t r i m , s u n v is or s , and map lamps/mini console.
(4) Compress the spring loaded plungers holding the guide blocks in the track. (5 ) S li de t h e s u n s h a d e for wa r d wh il e l ift i n g t h e front through the opening until the rear guide blocks ar e accessible.
CAUTION: Use care not to crease the sunshade when removing or installing.
(6) Disengage rear guide blocks from t rack.
INSTALLATION
(1) Insta ll the sun sha de from outside of th e vehicle with the sunroof fully open. (2) P u t r ear g u i d e b l o ck s i n t o s u n s h ad e g u i d e t r ack .

B y p u sh in g t h e b lock towards the center of the vehicle. (5) Move th e glass panel t o approximately halfway to the fully closed position. (6 ) P u s h s u n s h a d e d own u n t i l t h e s u n s h a d e c le a r s t h e g la s s t h e n m o ve s u n s h a d e r e a r wa r d b e h in d t h e glass panel.
5 CLAMP 6 DRAIN HOSE

REMOVAL
(1) Move glass panel to the fully closed position. (2) Disconnect battery negative cable. (3) Recline both front seats. (4) Rem ove overhea d console. (5) Remove headliner (6) Disconnect the drain tubes from sunroof housing (Fig. 7). (7 ) L oos e n fa s t e n er s a t t a c h in g s u n r oof h ou s in g assembly. (8 ) Wit h t h e a id of a h e lp er, r e m ove fa s t en e r s atta ching sunroof h ousing assembly to roof pan el.
(3) Connect the drain tubes to th e sun roof housing. (4) Set h eadliner int o position. (5) Connect express module, drive motor, an d control switch wire connectors. (6) Test sun roof operat ion, a djust as necessary. (7) Finish installing the headliner. (8) Connect ba tter y negative cable.
ADJUS TM E NTS
SUNROOF GLASS PANEL ADJUSTMENT

(1) Move the sunshade rearward to the open position. (2) Move th e su nroof glass pan el to t he fully closed position. (3) Loosen the forwar d screws on each side enough t o m a k e t h e fr on t a d ju s t m e n t . (4) Ad ju s t t h e fr o n t o f t h e s u n r o of g las s p an el 1 m m (1/32 inch) below the top surface of the roof panel. (5) Tighten the front two screws. (6) Loosen t he r ear screws on each side enough to make the rear adjustment. (7) Ad j u s t t h e r ear o f t h e s u n r o o f g l as s p an el 1 m m (1/32 inch) above the top surface of the roof panel. (8) Tighten the rear two screws. (9 ) C h e ck for p r op e r fi t . I f n ot OK, r e p ea t g la s s panel adjustment.
INSTALLATION
(1) Raise the sunroof housing assembly and guide into position and start fasteners (Fig. 7). (2 ) T ig h t en t h e fa s t e n er s , fr on t t o r e a r, a t t a c h in g the sunroof module to roof panel. Tighten the fasteners, front to rear, to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.) torque.

DESCRIPTION
S ea t m od u le s a r e m a d e u p of a s ea t fr a m e , s ea t cushion, seat back cushion, a covering material, and the electrical components used for power operation, if equipped. Some seat systems also contain seat belt components and supplemental restraint systems.
OPERATION
Seat assemblies transport the occupants in comfort and safety. Seat assemblies also help position occup a n t s cor r e ct l y i n t h e e ve n t of a i r ba g d e pl oy m en t . Seat cushions, coverings, and electrical components a r e s er v ice a b le . R efe r t o t h e a p p r op r ia t e g r ou p i n this manual.
REMOVAL AND IN STALLATI ON
FRONT BUCKET SEAT

REMOVAL
(1) Move seat to full rearward position. (2) Remove front bolts atta ching seat to floor pan (Fig. 1). (3) Move seat to full forward position. (4 ) Us i n g a t r i m s t ick , p r y c ov er fr om s ea t t r a c k (power seat only). (5) Remove rear bolts attaching seat to floor pan. (6 ) I f e qu i pp e d, d is con n e ct p ower s e a t wir e h a r ness connector.

INSTALLATION
(1) Position seat on floor pan . (2) If equipped, connect power seat wire h arness connector. (3 ) I n s t a ll r e a r b ol t s a t t a c h in g s ea t t o f loor p a n . Tighten bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque. (4) If equipped, install cover on seat track.

(5) Move seat to full rearward position. (6) Insta ll front bolts a ttaching seat to floor pan. Tighten bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
BUCKET SEAT SIDE SHIELD

REMOVAL
(1 ) R em ov e s cr e ws a t t a c h in g s id e s h ie ld t o s e a t frame. (2) Disconn ect wire ha rn ess conn ectors from power seat and power lumbar switches, if equipped. (3) Separate side shield from seat.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position side shield on seat. (2) Connect wire harness connectors to power seat and power lumbar switches, if equipped. (3 ) In s t a ll s cr e ws a t t a ch in g s id e s h ie ld t o s ea t frame.
BUCKET SEAT TRACK ADJUSTER

REMOVAL
(1) Remove seat. (2) Remove side shield. (3 ) R em ov e n u t s a t t a c h in g s e a t t r a c k a d j u s t er t o seat cushion frame (Fig. 2) and (Fig. 3). Roll cushion trim cover up to access the two front nuts. (4 ) D is en ga ge clip s a t t a ch in g w ir e h a r n e ss t o

(4 ) D is en ga ge clip s a t t a ch in g w ir e h a r n e ss t o adjuster. (5) Disengage seat memory module connector, if equipped. (6) Separate seat track from seat cushion frame.
INSTALLATION
(1) Transfer seat memory module, if equipped. (2) Position seat track on seat cushion frame. (3) Route harness through frame and engage clips attaching wire harness to adjuster. (4 ) E n g a ge s ea t m e mor y m od u le con n e ct or, if equipped. (5 ) In s t a ll n u t s a t t a ch in g s ea t t r a ck a d ju s t er t o s e a t cu s h i on fr a m e . T ig h t en n u t s t o 2 8 Nm (2 0 f t . lbs.) torque. (6) Install front edge of cushion trim cover. (7) Install seat.

(5) Separate recliner from seat back.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position recliner on seat back. (2 ) I n s t a ll b ol t s a t t a c h in g r e cl in e r t o s e a t b a ck frame. Tighten bolts to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) torque. (3) Roll seat back cover downwar d. (4 ) E n g a ge J -s t r a p a t b a s e of s e a t b a ck . (5) Install seat back.
BUCKET SEAT RECLINER

REMOVAL
(1) Remove seat back. (2) Disengage J-strap at base of seat back. (3 ) R ol l s ea t b a ck cov er u p wa r d t o a cce s s b ol t s attaching recliner to seat back frame. (4 ) R e m ov e b ol t s a t t a c h in g r e cl in e r t o s e a t b a ck frame.
BUCKET SEAT BACK

REMOVAL
(1) Move seat to full rearward position.
