Up here if a criminal breaks into your house and cut themselves on the window that they broke, they can sue the homeowner and win because our property wasn't safe to be on. oh, and they can't be charged with breaking and entering either if that happens because they're testimony (of how they got hurt breaking your window) can not be used against them in a court of law.

In my country home owners are convincted when defending their property. Weapons are restricted for law enforcement and defense personnel only. The sad thing is that the police doesn't function very well. They have a low budget and are also low on personnel. Basically good civilians in my country are sheeps locked in a cage with a wolf inside it.
