About The Department:

The Department of Business Administration was established in the year 1986. It is a life member of Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) and founder member of Orissa Chapter of AIMS. The Department offers two years (four semesters) regular course in Business Administration, with an annual intake of 30 students. The first two semesters of the curriculum provides basic knowledge of business management including development of skills required by professional managements. These cover basic functional areas of finance, accounting, marketing, organizational behavior, production, computer application etc.The second year courses are basically specialization oriented in the areas of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management. Other relevant areas covered during second year include Business policy ,Business Environment ,Strategic Management and Operation research.

About the workshop:

The objective of this workshop is more than a set of skills which will help examining critically various aspects of professional work. The workshop intends to focus on the acceptable scientific methodology to solve problems & create new knowledge .This workshop would also train the participants with various approaches such as qualitative, quantitative by using procedures ,methods & techniques to test out the validity & reliability of data. Eminent professors, practitioners and professionals in the area shall act as the resource persons of this workshop. The workshop will help the participants acquaint themselves with the dynamic trends of research methodology which may shape their research work in the right direction.

Themes of the workshop:

The theme of the workshop include (but not limited to) the following: Research Design Sampling Techniques& Qualitative Research Testing of Hypothesis Correlation Analysis (Simple & Multiple) Regression Analysis(Simple & Multiple) ANOVA & chi-square test Multivariate Analysis
