Remember in Prayer
~Linda Liechti, in the death of her mother, Mary Liechti, on March 15. Mary was a faithful member of WOLC for twenty-five years, was an inspiration to many, and will be missed. ~Betty Clark, in the death of her husband Mel Clark, who passed away on March 15. Mel was also a long-time member of WOLC and will be sadly missed.

Last week's donations were used to purchase an extra 200 meals for the Open Door Food Kitchen.

EVENTS
Baptism
Every Christ-follower should be baptized. Baptism is the public declaration of each believers identification with Jesus and with his church. If youve not been baptized yet, Sunday, April 14 will be a great opportunity to go for it! We will be baptizing in both services. Its easy to register for baptism-visit the foyer table, fill out a Connect Card and drop it in the offering, sign up online at WOLC.COM, or call the church office.

Israel Pilgrimage Trip

Pastor Brian and Peri will be leading a pilgrimage tour of Israel on November 18-27. Brochures are available at the Welcome Center and online at wolc.com.

Compassion Sunday
April 21
Compassion Sunday is an annual event that draws the attention of the Church to the needs of the world's poorest children. This will be your opportunity to share your heart for some of the poorest children in the world and help change their lives forever. We anticipate that, through your sponsorship,10,000 children world-wide will find hope and a new life story on this very special day.

The Joseph Company is our monthly multigenerational leadership development session for people who are passionate about being effective for the Kingdom of Jesus in their work lives. For people of all ages, who work at all sorts of vocations, the April session will feature a world class DVD-based presentation. We always enjoy small group time, as well as the worlds greatest free home-cooked breakfast. RSVP online or call Elizabeth Thomas at the church office.

Summer camp registration may have ended, but there is still an opportunity to help send a child to camp through our Adopt-A-Camper program. Information and registration forms are available at the Word of Life Kids check-in counter in the foyer. This month, Circle of Friends, our group for those over 50, will be meeting twice! Join us for breakfast at Cracker Barrel on April 11 at 9 AM. Then, on April 18, we will be traveling to Jamesport to visit Graber's Greenhouse and have lunch. Meet at the church at 9:30 AM and bring $3 for the shuttle to Jamesport. As always, the food cost is on your own, but we provide the fun and friendship! For more information, contact the church or Sherry Bartch at 816.244.0278. Did you know, a special nursing mothers room is available? Just ask an usher to direct you to the room. Also, families with fussy kids can see and hear the service on TV in the Life Center.

VBS 2013
Mark your calendars for this year's Vacation Bible School, GOD IN ACTION. VBS is for children ages 4 through 12. Well kick off on Sunday night, June 9, with a special FAMILY FUN EVENT from 6 - 8:15 PM. That evening parents are invited to stay for the entire first night of VBS! Registration will begin May 3.
