Color Application Guide

Color Rendering
The Color Rendering Index is based on a maximum rating of 100. Light sources with a low CRI will make objects appear washed out and dull . Lamps with high CRI ratings will be more vivid and bring life to the subject.

Lamp Color
The color of light is based on a color temperature scale which is rated in Kelvins. A warm color of light would be in 2000 - 3000K range and would make the red , orange and yellow colors more predominant. Light sources with a color temperature in the 4000K range would feature more blue or cool colors. The photographs shown here illustrate how the color of a light source can impact the appearance of objects. Many of the light sources shown throughout the catalog offer a wide range of color options to suit your specific design needs.

Color Matching
Choose from a wide assortment of color temperatures to match different lamp types in an application.
